Beatles music available on iTunes

It’s no secret that there has been a long-running feud between Apple Computers and the Beatles‘ record company, Apple Corps, over the rights to the Apple name.  This argument has kept the Beatles catalogue from being sold in iTunes, but now it seems that the two sides have settled their differences.  The entire Beatles catalog is available for the low price of $149, or of course you can pick and choose your favorites and build your own playlists.

This is huge news for Beatles fans, who now can get special iTunes-only content that they can’t get anywhere else.  However, the news is somewhat of a disappointment to other iTunes fans, who had thought the buzz might be about a new online-based version of iTunes.  Apparently that’s not coming for a while yet.
