Bret Michaels is currently under “intense observation” in the ICU at an undisclosed hospital after being diagnosed with a massive subarachnoid hemorrhage. A spokesperson for Michaels told People the 47-year-old musician’s condition will be “touch and go for the next few days.”

Michaels gained fame in the 1980s at the helm of the hugely popular glam-rock band Poison. Most recently, Michaels became something of a reality television star – first appearing on VH1’s Rock of Love and currently starring in The Celebrity Apprentice.

Michaels underwent an emergency appendectomy just last week after falling ill with terrible stomach pains. Michaels was also diagnosed with diabetes as a child and has battled the disease all his life.

No other information on Michaels’ condition has been released at this time.
