Looks like Brett Favre isn’t the only one in the Favre family who is prone to getting in trouble. Â His sister, Brandi Favre, has been arrested quite a few times for various violations over the years including theft and weapons charges, but this time she’s really got a lot of explaining to do.
Narcotics officers in Mississippi launched a surprise take-down of a meth lab inside a private residence, and lo and behold, inside the residence was Brandi Favre. Â Favre and four other people were arrested and taken into custody, but their first stop was a decontamination lab. Â The ingredients used to make meth are highly flammable, and even having the stuff on your clothes or skin can pose a danger. Â After decontamination, the group were carted off to jail, but no word yet as to whether Brett is planning on bailing his sister out.
Brett Favre has reportedly decided to retire from football for the third time. 40-year-old Favre has allegedly decided to call it quits this time due to a slow recovery from surgery on his left ankle earlier this year.
Favre did not report to training camp for the Minnesota Vikings when it opened on Friday. Still, not everyone is ready to accept Favre’s reported retirement considering he’s already tried it twice before.
Redskins coach Mike Shanahan, who will be going up against the Vikings in November, told the Washington Post “I’ll have to see it before I believe it.”
Football star Brett Favre could become the first grandfather in history to play in the NFL if he returns to the field in 2010. The 41-year-old quarterback’s daughter, Brittany Favre, reportedly has a bun in the oven and is expected to give birth to her first child soon – if she hasn’t already.
Although Brett Favre has not yet announced whether or not he will return for a 20th season, if he did it would make him the first grandfather in history to play in the NFL – at least as far as we know.
The news of Brittany Favre’s baby on the way surfaced in a tweet from ESPN Milwaukee journalist Jason Wilde. Larry Fitzgerald Sr. also reported the news of the impending birth in the Minnesota Spokesman-Recorder.
USA Today reports that Brittany Favre has already given birth to a son and says the news was confirmed to ESPN by Brett Favre himself. We haven’t actually seen an official announcement Favre is a granddaddy yet, but we’re sure it won’t be long now.
Congrats to Brittany and Brett on the new addition to the family!
Former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Kate Gosselin says her children are crying over the loss of their ‘buddies’ from the TLC film crew. In an interview with Barbara Walters for her 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009Â special, Kate Gosselin said her children miss the film crew that used to be so much a part of their daily lives.
“They cried in the van on the way home from school the other day,” Kate Gosselin tells Barbara Walters in the interview. “I finally admitted to them, they kept asking, ‘Where’s the camera crew? Where’s the camera crew? We miss them.’ And I said, ‘Our show is over.’ …Eight sobbing kids driving home from school.”
TLC had initially planned to remake Jon & Kate Plus 8 without Jon Gosselin following the couple’s very public separation. The reality TV dad, however, forbade TLC from continuing to film his children, effectively ending their time as mini-TV stars.
While Jon Gosselin continues to flounder around trying to find a new way to capitalize on his waning 15 minutes of fame, Kate Gosselin is set to start co-hosting a new talk show next spring, according to ABCNews.com.
The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009 airs Wednesday night at 10 PM. Other famous names scheduled to be featured include Lady Gaga, Sarah Palin, Brett Favre and Glenn Beck.
