Singer and reality TV star Bret Michaels‘ condition is still critical Monday after suffering a severe brain hemorrhage. Doctors have so far been unable to locate the source of bleeding.
Bret Michaels was taken to an unidentified hospital Thursday night with an intense “thunderclap headache” – a sudden pain like a baseball bat to the head. These kinds of headaches are reportedly often a symptom of brain hemorrhage.

Michaels allegedly realized he was seriously in trouble when his speech became slurred. “[He] was speaking gibberish and seemingly very frustrated by his inability to make much sense,” the Chicago Sun-Times reported.
“Further tests are being run and information will be updated in the coming days,” a rep for Michaels said in a press statement. “As of now Bret remains in ICU under 24 hours surveillance. Further testing this week will help locate the source of the bleeding,” Michaels’ tour manager, Janna Elias, posted on the singer’s website Monday.
“Please remember Bret is, and always has been a fighter and survivor and is under the best medical care possible,” Elias said.
