Brit-Brit was doing her “Circus” thing last night in Oakland, when she was lifted from a couch during a trapeze stunt. Here is why mama always said “don’t join the circus if you have glued-on hair.” One of Britney’s acrobats ripped out her hair extension! Guess it’s time for some lady-Rogaine. Ouch!!

Jamie Lynn Spears Cancels Wedding To Casey Aldridge

Teen mom Jamie Lynn Spears has decided not to marry her womanizing baby-daddy Casey Aldridge. OK! Magazine reporteds:

“The wedding’s off,” a source tells the publication. “They are still in love, living together and very happy, but they have no plans to get married. Jamie Lynn has everything she wants and feels no need for a ring and piece of paper. She and Casey have weathered a lot in their young relationship already and don’t need the pressure of making wedding plans.”

In June, the couple welcomed their daughter Maddie Briann. Casey’s been busted for cheating before and after the baby’s birth.

Most recently, Jamie and Casey were seen taking their little daughter to big sis Britney Spears’ comeback concert, “Circus”, on March 3. Good thing Maddie is younger than her cousins Sean Preston and Jayden James, who are being dragged to Brit’s concerts every night as they’ve been forced to join the Circus. She probably can’t see the stage yet, and that’s a good thing! It’s definitely NOT kid-friendly, but this is a foreign concept to the Spears sisters.

Britney Spears’ “Circus” Video Premiere Moved To Tonight

ET has decided that the Britney Spears PR extravaganza cannot wait until tomorrow for its next phase…the release of her video for “Circus”. Brit-Brit’s been taking her Circus freakin’ everywhere, and a Korean pirate copy of the vid already hit the net. The NY Daily News snipes that:

Britney Spears’ new album should have been called “Catatonic.” Spies say the pop tart looked vacant at her 27th-birthday party/”Circus” album release bash at Tenjune. In fact, her empty, wide-eyed stare as she was pushed and prodded throughout the club prompted more than a few revelers to whisper, “She’s so out of it!” Joining in the revelry were Jeremy Piven, Josh Lucas, DJ MOS and MSNBC host Dan Abrams.

Ouch! ET’s decided that y’all need to see the HQ version sooner, so tune in tonight if you are besotted by Britney. In fact, if you’re so inclined, ET has more Britney birthday Circus shizz than you could ever want!

9/22/08 UPDATE: Britney’s new single is NOT gonna drop today. Apparently the powers that be realized it wasn’t radio-ready (amen) and have decided to do a little more work on it. Translation: Put that sucker through the mixing board again and make it sound less like a transmission from another planet. The promise is that “Womanizer” is coming out NEXT week. Whoopee!
Well, the boyz at Nashville’s 107.5 The River have done it again! If you remember, they helpfully brought us Jessica Simpson calling Carrie Underwood OUT for saying Tony Romo was still ringing her up. Now, Britney Spears’ first single from her upcoming album “Circus” (Don’t get me started) has been leaked by the station. Unfortunately it’s only about 40 seconds long. Or…perhaps fortunately! Snarkista was kinda liking whatever song Britney was rehearsing to before the VMA’s. This ain’t it.
You be the judge and listen! “Womanizer” is gonna drop on Monday (Sept. 22).

Too bad the boyz couldn’t leak some GASOLINE into the gas stations here in Nashville! Friends today drove around for hours trying to FIND gas. One finally did, for 6 bucks a gallon. While nowhere near Ike-like, we’re having gas lines. Stations have been closing their pumps for over a week, and now it’s getting kinda scary! Governor Phil Bredesen promises that gas is on the way…barges coming up the Cumberland River. Snarkista hopes ye in other parts of the country aren’t in for what we’re going through. Thank God for telecommuting!
