Carlos Dunlap was discovered asleep behind the wheel of his car around 3:25 AM on Tuesday. Police found Dunlap after receiving complaints regarding a reckless driver near the Florida campus.

Dunlap, a Junior defensive end for the Florida Gators, was the defensive MVP of last year’s championship game and is considered a top NFL draft pick. Dunlap was expected to be a key player in the Southeastern Conference title game against Alabama on Saturday. After the arrest, his appearance in Saturday’s game is now in question.

A spokesman for the Florida Gators released a statement Monday morning saying the organization was aware of the incident but withheld further comment. A press announcement regarding the incident is expected Tuesday afternoon.
