Casey Anthony waits as the verdict is read by the jury

The jury in the Casey Anthony trial read out their verdict in court at 2:15 EDT. The jury found Casey Anthony not guilty of killing Caylee Anthony. After 33 days of testimony, the jury of seven women and five men acquitted Casey Anthony of murder after just 10 hours of deliberation.

25-year-old Casey Anthony was acquitted of all charges of murder, manslaughter and child abuse. She was found guilty of multiple counts of providing false information to law enforcement.

On Sunday, Casey Anthony’s defense team told the jury “there is plenty of reasonable doubt” in the case and with that in mind, they could convict her. It seems the jury, in this case, agreed with the defense.

Casey Anthony awaits verdict in murder trial

Jury deliberations resumed in the Casey Anthony trial for the second day on Tuesday after the jury failed to reach a verdict on Monday. The jury, which has been sequestered in an Orlando hotel, have now reportedly reached a verdict after a total of ten hours of deliberation. The official verdict in the Casey Anthony trial is expected to be handed out this afternoon shortly after 2:00pm. If convicted of 1st degree murder, Casey Anthony could face the death penalty.

The jury could also reject the first-degree murder trial in favor of finding Casey Anthony guilty on a lesser charge of second-degree murder, third-degree murder or even manslaughter. Anthony is also facing charges of aggravated manslaughter, aggravated child abuse and multiple counts of lying to law enforcement.

FBI expert Heather Seubert was asked by the judge if she had done a paternity test to eliminate Lee Anthony as the father of Caylee Anthony. The prosecution protested the line of questioning and Judge Belvin Perry called a halt to the proceedings and dismissed the jury to go to lunch.

After the jury exited the court room, attorneys on both sides began arguing over whether the question of Caylee Anthony’s paternity was appropriate. FBI expert Heather Seubert reported to the judge that both Casey Anthony’s brother and her father, George Anthony, had been elimated the possible father of Caylee Anthony. So far, the father of Caylee Anthony remains a mystery.

Judge Perry warned Baez “not to ask questions that will lead to an inference… I’m not even going to venture a guess… as to your motivation.” When the jury returned, they were informed that Lee Anthony’s paternity test was negative, although they were not told that George Anthony’s was also negative. Most of the rest of the day’s testimony focused on details of the physical evidence found at the scene where Caylee Anthony’s body was found.

Anthony has been accused of murdering the 2-year-old toddler, hiding Caylee Anthony’s body in the trunk of her car and then dumping the body in a wooded area near her home.

Casey Anthony’s defense team argues that Caylee Anthony drowned by accident in the family pool. They claim that after the accidental death, Casey Anthony hid the child’s death as a way to ‘cope’ after suffering years of sexual abuse by her father and brother. George Anthony has repeatedly denied that his daughter suffered any kind of abuse at his or her brother’s hands.

“The cause of death was homicide of undetermined means, I believe we can reliably say it’s a homicide, but I don’t know the means for which that homicide occurred,” Garavaglia said.

Dr. Jan Garavaglia is the authority responsible for determining the cause of death in questionable cases in central Florida, including the city of Orlando. Garavaglia will return to the stand this afternoon to further discuss her conclusions about Caylee Anthony’s remains.

Casey Anthony began crying and shaking as anthropology professor John J. Schultz testified about the bones later identified as belonging to her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony. Schultz said the bones had been chewed on by animals. He said Caylee’s vertebrae were all found together, which he believes indicates the body was intact when it was placed in the woods near the Anthony’s home.

“We collected all but one tooth. We have most of the spine, many of the ribs, all of the long bones, the tiny bones, hand, feet, left foot and we did recover one bone of the right foot. The only reason we have one bone of the right foot is because we had carnivore activity on that part of the skeleton,” Schultz said.

Casey Anthony wept during the testimony with her attorney’s arm around her shoulders. Anthony turned away as photos were shown to the jury of the torn and dirty clothing Caylee Anthony was wearing when she died. Shultz estimated the body had been in the woods for as long as six months.

Duct tape covered the mouth of Caylee Anthony’s skull, Shultz testified, but he could not be sure it also covered her nose. Shultz said there was no evidence of trauma to the bones. Prosecutors have accused Casey Anthony of first-degree murder and argue that she used duct tape to suffocate her daughter so she could be “free” of responsibility for the child.

Outside the courthouse, one woman was taken away by ambulance after she was knocked to the ground by a crowd of people pushing to be one of the 50 spectators allowed to watch the Casey Anthony trial from inside the courtroom.

Judge Belvin Perry warned those at the trial about the graphic images of Caylee Anthony’s remains and urged anyone who might feel sick to leave the courtroom. Casey Anthony’s parents, George and Cindy, left before the photos were put up for display.

Orange County Sheriff’s crime scene investigator Jennifer Welch took the witness stand to testify about being called to the location where Caylee Anthony’s remains were found and detailed how she photographed the crime scene. Orange County Sheriff’s Deputy Edward Turso testified about meeting with meter reader Roy Kronk, who originally reported finding Caylee’s remains, and taking his statement.

Defense attorney Jose Baez accused Roy Kronk in his opening statement of placing Caylee’s remains where they were found months before calling authorities to claim reward money. Kronk reportedly called the police to report finding a skull in the area several times in August, 2008 but nothing was found there at the time.

Orange County medical examiner Dr. Jan Garavaglia said Caylee’s remains did not give any evidence on how the little girl died, only that they did not suffer any trauma.

Casey Anthony has pleaded not guilty to murdering Caylee Anthony. Although she originally claimed Caylee had gone missing after being left with a nanny, Anthony now claims Caylee drowned by accident in the family’s swimming pool.

Chloroform isn’t supposed to be sold to the general public, but it IS sold on the ‘net, and it’s not that hard to buy. Buying it on the net, however, WOULD leave a paper-trail. When you Google “how do you make chloroform,” more than a million websites are listed with instructions. On one of the first ones, there is an explicit warning about chloroform, calling the chemical extremely dangerous and unpredictable. The warning says to NEVER allow children anywhere near it. Hmmm.

Channel 9′s news analyst Bill Sheaffer says it’s

“Another piece of evidence in the circumstantial chain. It’s significant because, if Casey made the chloroform as opposed to buying it, she could have been trying to cover her tracks. Buying it would have generated some sort of record. This way certainly, she could argue, ‘Alright, I was interested in looking into how to make chloroform, but I never did.’ Or, ‘That’s why you smelled chloroform in the trunk area, because I was experimenting in making it,’”

Right. Somehow Casey doesn’t seem like a big chemistry buff…she didn’t even graduate from high school. The question for Casey’s potential jurors will be…why would Casey buy, OR make chloroform? Last week, the Orange County grand jury heard from several witnesses, including the FBI and one of the sheriff’s computer investigators. Reportedly that information is going to be released to the public very soon. One theory being tossed about is that psycho Casey drove around for 11 DAYS with Caylee’s body in her trunk. That would certainly explain the many reports of the car’s horrible stench.

Things are moving rapidly since Casey was arrested for the third time, and this time was charged with Caylee’s murder. Casey Anthony’s defense attorney is going to start questioning his first prosecution witnesses in the case next Thursday. Some who will be taking the stand are an employee at the Amscot on Goldenrod and Highway 50 where Casey abandoned her car in late June, employees from Johnson’s Wrecker Service, the company that towed the car from the Amscot, and Casey’s ex-boyfriend Tony Lazzaro. What do they all have in common? They all had access to Casey’s car. (What else do they all have in common? No real motive for killing Caylee.)

Sociopath, selfish, golddigger, party-girl Casey needs to get served JUSTICE. And that’s a recipe only the jury can cook up.

A Grand Jury in Orlando is hearing evidence from prosecutors in the Casey Anthony case. Prosecutors are wanting an indictment for murder of Caylee Anthony, Casey’s missing 3 year old daughter. If an indictment is handed down, Casey would likely be arrested immediately, and not granted bail.

A simple majority vote is all that is needed for the Grand Jury to indict Casey. Casey’s father George Anthony is set to testify against his daughter, and will likely have to tell about Casey trying to prevent him from opening the trunk of her car. Brother Lee Anthony is NOT set to testify, even though he told authorities much about the horrible smell that came from Casey’s car. Hopefully, the workers at the impound lot where the car was towed after Casey abandoned it WILL testify to the horrid smell, one that they were familiar with. It was the smell of death.

Orange County Florida Detectives have just released audio interviews today in relation to the Casey Anthony case. Casey is the only person of interest in the disappearance of her 3 year old daughter Caylee Anthony. It has been 71 days since Caylee Anthony was reported missing. Detectives believe that sadly, she’s dead. Authorities released hundreds of pages of transcripts on Tuesday, viewable here. These newly released audio interviews are part of the documentation detailed in those transcripts. They are interviews with three of the men closest to Casey…her lover, her brother, and her ex-fiance.

Some highlights include Casey’s brother Lee Anthony telling investigators he didn’t believe Casey when she said the terrible smell in her trunk came from two dead squirrels under the hood. Lee told investigators his first indication that something was terribly wrong was noticing the horrible smell wafting from Casey’s car trunk.

“The trunk was open. The windows were rolled down to what I assume ventilate the horrible smell that I had just, just, uh, smelled for the first time,” he said. “It was, it was, it hit you like a, a wave. I mean it was, it was, whatever it was it was very potent.” Lee also tells investigators that ALL of Casey’s email prior to July 15th (when Casey’s mom dragged her ass home) has been deleted. Everything.

Casey’s ex-fiance Jesse Grund feels Casey would have put Caylee’s body under her playhouse.

“If she wanted to place Caylee’s body somewhere that would be the first place that she would have put her.” Grund went on to tell investigators that Casey was a liar. “We can all tell, for the last couple of years, is that Casey is an effective liar. I would describe it as diabolical the way she lies.”

Authorities previously released audio interrogations conducted with Casey herself. Casey seems to truly be an emotionless sociopath, and is caught in lie after pathological lie on tape. Casey shows little emotion about being caught in her lies. She has since stonewalled authorities, despite having been in and out of jail three times since Caylee’s disappearance. Casey has been charged with child neglect, lying to authorities, and many counts of economic fraud from stealing checks and using them. She is facing an estimated 70 years in jail for these crimes, but it would be unlikely that she served near that amount of time.

The huge amount of written transcripts show Casey’s texting addiction, with over 500 text messages Casey sent to her friends after Caylee was missing. Casey is wanting them to party with her, and there are only two brief mentions of little Caylee. Casey’s world was sex, drinking, drugs, and rock-n- roll.
