Yesterday afternoon, word leaked out of Orlando Florida that prosecutors in the Casey Anthony murder case have put the death penalty back on the table. It had previously been removed, but the state’s position now is that “sufficient aggravating circumstances now exist” for the death penalty. In a change of heart, lead prosecutor, Linda Drane Burdick, of the state attorney’s office, filed a letter of intent to seek the death penalty for Casey.

The death penalty’s return as a possible sentence for Casey’s murder of her toddler Caylee, means that her current lead counsel, Jose Baez, will not be able to try the case. Death penalty cases have strict trial experience requirements for defense attorneys that Baez does not meet.

Casey still has a high-powered defense team whose funding is still a mystery. They’ve filed a motion to subpoena cell phone records from George, Cindy and Lee Anthony, meter reader Roy Kronk, who found Caylee’s remains, all of Casey’s past lovers (a considerable number), and from her former friends. The return of the death penalty option increases the chances that Casey may plea down to recieve a life imprisonment sentence if she’s convicted.

A Grand Jury in Orlando is hearing evidence from prosecutors in the Casey Anthony case. Prosecutors are wanting an indictment for murder of Caylee Anthony, Casey’s missing 3 year old daughter. If an indictment is handed down, Casey would likely be arrested immediately, and not granted bail.

One new piece of possible evidence is a child’s dress found yesterday by Texas Equusearch . It looks like one Caylee had.

A simple majority vote is all that is needed for the Grand Jury to indict Casey. Casey’s father George Anthony is set to testify against his daughter, and will likely have to tell about Casey trying to prevent him from opening the trunk of her car. Brother Lee Anthony is NOT set to testify, even though he told authorities much about the horrible smell that came from Casey’s car. Hopefully, the workers at the impound lot where the car was towed after Casey abandoned it WILL testify to the horrid smell, one that they were familiar with. It was the smell of death.

UPDATE: Homicide charges are reportedly imminent in the Casey Anthony case, and the case reportedly will be handed to a Grand Jury. WKMG Orlando is reporting that the State will present it’s case next week, on Tuesday, to determine whether to charge her with manslaughter or murder. State Attorney Lawson Lamar wants to get the case before the current Grand Jury before a new one is seated.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office has released hundreds MORE discovery related to the Casey Anthony case. The Sheriff’s office has now released a TON of investigation documents and NEW VIDEO in the case where mom Casey Anthony is the only named suspect in the disappearance of her 3 year old daughter Caylee Anthony.

The documents include surveillance photos and video of Casey Anthony fraudulently using her former friend, Amy Huzienga’s, Bank of America bank account (Video above). Also included are physical copies of the checks Casey wrote including those written out to HERSELF for cash, to Winn-Dixie and to Target. Surveillance video has also been released showing Casey using Amy’s checks at Target. Casey dropped Amy off at the airport for a trip to Puerto Rico and immediately went shopping with Amy’s checks.

Police have also determined that the shirt she was arrested in, a blue hooded t-shirt, was purchased at Target using Amy’s check. Nice. Same thing with the big sunglasses she often wears when going to attorney’s office, and to and from her jail check-ins. Oh, and sexy bras and beer. But she’s searching for Caylee!!!

Casey exhibits all of the characteristics of a sociopath…she has shown NO emotion about Caylee’s disappearance (and probable death). Previous discovery documents showed Casey as a big party girl, all about sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. Not real concerned about her daughter who’d been missing for 31 days before anyone reported her being gone.

Casey’s LATEST stunt is to try and convince a judge to let her leave house arrest to “privately” search for Caylee. Yeah. Casey knows that Texas Equusearch is hot on her heels, and will arrive within days to resume their search for Caylee’s body. No judge in his right mind would let Casey pull such a stunt, but if it WERE to happen, the media would follow her every move.

Orange County Investigators released hundreds MORE documents and media on Friday related to the Casey Anthony case. Casey is the mother of missing 3 year old Caylee Anthony, and is the only person of interest in her disappearance. Among the items released Friday were DVD’s, CD’s and pages and pages of evidence. The information included a taped interview with mom Cindy Anthony, audio interviews with dad George Anthony and many others, photographs, text message and instant messages.

The DVD includes a conversation with Cindy Anthony, Caylee’s grandmother, had with investigators on July 31st. Caylee had been reported missing 16 days earlier and Casey was still in jail. Cindy talked with detectives about who she thought was involved in her granddaughter’s disappearance. Interviews with many of Casey’s boyfriends, friends and casual acquaintances are here as well. There are salacious Instant Messages between Casey and one “boyfriend”, Anthony Rusciano, whose IM name was nyitaliano3. They detail not only Casey’s desire to party instead of take care of Caylee, but also give a picture of how Casey just led people on and lied to them time after time. The interview with Simon Burch, supervisor of the tow-lot that towed in the car which Casey abandoned, is very telling. He discusses in detail what happened when parents George and Cindy Anthony came to pick up the car, and the overwhelming odor it had. It was the odor of death that has also been spoken of by Cindy and Casey’s brother Lee. It’s difficult to wade through the hundreds and hundreds of documents released by the authorities, so this is an easier way to read and watch some of the pertinent evidence the investigators have.

Party girl, pathological liar, text addict. The picture of who Casey Anthony really is becomes clearer as one reads through these interviews. Casey’s relationships are, for the most part, quite superficial. She always seems to have at least one guy that she’s using, and has another one lined up to come after him.

Casey’s been in and out of jail 3 times now, and has been charged with economic crimes due to passing checks stolen from her friend Amy. She’s looking at around 70 years in jail for these crimes, if convicted. Snarkista hopes that officials can get to the bottom of what happened to little Caylee, and if Casey’s guilty- as it seems she may be, is finally charged with murder.
