Beyonce and Jay-Z to have super-talented offspring

It was announced early this morning that Beyonce and Jay-Z are expecting their first child, cutting off Beyonce’s plans to get in the studio and record a new album. Â The pair are not only ridiculously rich and powerful, they’ve also got musical genes that are now being combined into some sort of super-child that we should probably be afraid of.

No word yet on the due date, only that Beyonce is in her first trimester, and she’s ecstatic about the news. Â I can’t imagine that this baby is going to be anything short of phenomenally talented and, if Beyonce is anything to go by, impossibly good looking.

Ashlee Simspson And Pete Wentz Welcome Baby Bronx Mowgli

After much labor speculation, then confirmation yesterday…Ashlee Simpson finally popped. She gave birth to a baby boy last night! Unfortunately, Ashlee and hubby Pete Wentz have been reading their copy of Ridiculous Celebrity Baby Names, and have saddled the little one with “Bronx Mowgli“. Yeah, Mowgli. Like in The Jungle Book. Sigh. Bronx weighed in at 7 pounds, 11 ounces. Welcome to the world, little guy.

Wow. The stars are REALLY gonna have to step it up now! No longer is ONE baby enough to get the most press, as J.Lo and Angelina Jolie have raised the bar. You’ve gotta have at least two at a time!

Rebecca Romijn is pregnant with twin girls! She and hubby Jerry O’Connell just celebrated their one-year anniversary on July 15th, but it looks like their two big gifts will arrive closer to Christmas time! Rebecca and Jerry met at a bash in 2004 and he proposed a year later. A source close to the actor told Us magazine, “Jerry couldnâ€™t be happier about becoming a dad.â€

Earlier this month, O’Connell told the mag that they had been trying to have kids. We’ll have to wait and see if the first pictures of the twins will bring more than pictures of a single baby. Congratulations to the lucky couple!

Matthew McConaughey DJ’s At Baby Levi’s Birth

Matthew McConaughey and longtime love Camila Alves, have a beautiful baby boy, Levi Alves McConaughey, born on July 7. Now, the first pics are out! Matthew did not break character, and apparently was his typical bongo self during the birth…he cracks me UP! Matthew tells OK that:

We found a great rhythm,” Matthew says about the delivery of baby Levi. “Contractions started kicking in. I sat there with her, right between her legs. We got tribal on it, we danced to it! I was DJ-ing this Brazilian music.”

Let me tell you, if Snarkista had somebody DJ’ing during her 48 HOUR labor, she would have gone Linda Blair on his ass! Camilla is obviously MUCH more laid back!

Matt says he kept a detailed diary of his and Camila’s hospital experience.

“I have it all chronicled,” he explained. “Becoming a dad is something I’ve dreamed of doing since I was 10. Becoming a father felt very, very natural. We were jamming! She was sweating. No painkiller, let’s go. She just clicked into that gear that only a woman has at a time like this. We’d been up for 40-something hours, and we went from dead tired to a really steadfast, ‘Let’s handle thisâ€¦ let’s stay in the rhythm. Don’t let the contraction be more than you.’”

Birthing classes everywhere are updating their course materials as I speak. Congrats to the lucky new parents!
