Celine Dion pregnant with twins! The Canadian songstress and husband Rene Angelil have announced they are expecting twin babies after six in-vitro fertilization attempts. Dion and Angelil already have one child together, 9-year-old son Rene-Charles.
A rep for Celine Dion confirmed the singer is pregnant with twins in a press statement on Sunday. Rene Angelil told People he and Dion are “ecstatic” over the babies on the way. “Celine is just hoping for a healthy pregnancy. She was hoping for one baby and the news we are having two is a double blessing.”
Celine Dion has long dreamed of expanding her family with a new baby. Dion became pregnant last summer after another in-vitro attempt, but had a miscarriage only a couple of weeks into the pregnancy. The Grammy Award-winning singer said she would keep trying to get pregnant “until it works.”
Dion and Angelil expect to find out the gender of the twins on the way next month. Congrats to the happy couple on the wonderful news!
