Country star Charlie Daniels suffered a mild stroke while on vacation in Colorado, but he does not plan on cancelling any of his upcoming concerts.

A statement posted on Charlie Daniels’ website says the 73-year-old country singer had a small stroke on Friday while snowmobiling in Colorado.
Daniels was taken to Mercy Regional Medical Center in Durango, CO and then airlifted to Swedish Medical Center in Denver for further treatment. The Grammy Award-winning artist was released on Sunday and is said to be recovering well at home.
Daniels reportedly does not plan on cancelling any of his upcoming concerts. He is slated to appear in Fort Pierce, FL on Feb. 27.
“Charlie is doing well and looking forward to beginning The Charlie Daniels Band 2010 concert dates on Feb. 27 in Ft. Pierce, Fla., and Feb. 28 in Brooksville, Fla.,” Daniels’ reps said in a press statement released on Tuesday. “Charlie and his family appreciate and are grateful for everyone’s thoughts and prayers during this time.”
