Singer Alexa Ray Joel is reportedly staying with father Billy Joel while recovering from an alleged overdose. Alexa Ray Joel was rushed to the hospital Saturday night after reportedly suffering difficulty breathing.

23-year-old Joel was released from St. Vincent’s Hospital and is now reportedly staying with her father while she recovers, according to her publicist. Billy Joel released a statement over the weekend saying his daughter was “going to be fine.” Alexa Ray Joel is the daughter of singer Billy Joel and ex-wife Christie Brinkley.
 
Whether the pill overdose was accidental or a suicide attempt still remains unclear. However, Joel allegedly told a 911 operator she “Took pills. Want to die,” according to the New York Post. A message from the 911 dispatcher to EMS responders reportedly stated: “Female caller. Took eight pills. Wants to die. Now feels funny. Wants to live.”

According to a report by People, Joel may have been upset over an argument with a boyfriend. Whatever the cause, we hope she gets better soon and find the help she needs.

Singer Alexa Ray Joel, daughter of Billy Joel and ex-wife Christie Brinkley, is recovering after being rushed to the hospital on Saturday. Joel was reportedly taken to St. Vincent’s Medical Center in New York Saturday after allegedly taking an overdose of pills.

Some reports allege 23-year-old Alexa Ray Joel overdosed on sleeping pills in an apparent suicide attempt. The details of the incident, however, remain sketchy. Another source told People magazine Joel had responded badly to a homeopathic medication. “She became worried about breathing, which is why 911 was called,” the unidentified source told the tabloid.

Joel was taken to the ER after her roommate called 911 and said the singer was having difficulty breathing. Joel has now been released from the hospital. Billy Joel told Newsday late Saturday that his daughter is “going to be fine.”

Joel, Alexa Ray’s father, has previously admitted to feeling “suicidal” himself when he was her age and swallowing furniture polish. “I was 21. It’s a tough age. Things hit you really hard,” Joel told Details magazine last year.

Christie Brinkley Keeps The Kids

Christie Brinkley will reportedly retain sole custody of her children after reaching a settlement in her ugly divorce battle with ex Peter Cook. The agreement came around 6:15 a.m. Thursday after overnight negotiations. A source tells the New York Post that Cook, 49, will continue their current visitation arrangement: He will get their kids, Jack, 13, and Sailor, 10, every Wednesday and alternating weekends, plus alternating weeks during the summer.

Christie, 54, will keep all 18 properties in the Hamptons that were being disputed, and agreed to pay him $2.1 million. Chump change for such a HUGE chump! Christie’s properties make that little cash toss look like loose change.

“I am very happy with the settlement,” Brinkley told reporters as she entered court Thursday. “Didn’t sleep a wink. It’s a great day.” Asked Wednesday if a settlement were in the works, Brinkley pressed her palms together and told reporters, “It’s what I hope and pray for.”

The settlement marks the end of a bitter — and embarrassing — battle for the two. Brinkley, who broke down several times on the stand, had accused Cook of having a $3,000-a-month Internet porn habit and destroying their 10-year marriage by having an affair with his teenage assistant, Diana Bianchi. “My world was completely shattered,” Brinkley said when she found out he cheated on her in 2006. Brinkley also alleged that he had been arrested for buying drugs “at a gay truck stop.”

Cook apologized for the affair and porn usage, but insisted neither affected his parenting skills. WHATEVER. He fired back at Brinkley, saying she had anger issues and suggested that she was trying to launch a smear campaign against him for requesting a public trial. Yes, Snarkista would agree that Christie was a pit pissed at the porn, cheating and drug use. Shocker.

In the end, a court-appointed psychologist testified that Brinkley deserved full custody because Cook’s narcissism “could cause harm” to their children. Truth! Bianchi wasn’t Peter’s only affair, he thought he could do anything he wanted and keep his marriage too. But he didn’t count on Christie and her BIG guns. Good for her. Let Peter slither off in shame.

This Is Gonna Get Ugly!

Christie Brinkley’s taken the gloves in her impending divorce from hubby Peter Cook. Peter has been a very bad boy! Wannabe singer Diana Bianchi — who was at the center of the Christie Brinkley-Peter Cook scandal two years ago — has been subpoenaed to testify in the upcoming divorce trial.

Bianchi’s attorney told Entertainment Tonight Monday

“She is looking to move forward in her life and regain her anonymity. She has pursued a career in music by her own choice. That choice has nothing to do with Christie Brinkley or Peter Cook. She wants the media to respect her privacy.

The trial, which Peter fought to keep private, will be open to the public and is set to begin July 2 in Long Island. Brinkley, 54, will reportedly claim that Cook, 49 — with whom she raised two children, Jack, 13, and Sailor, 9 — often trolled Internet porn and swinger sites in search of women.

Cook couldn’t just keep his dalliances online. He robbed the cradle and had a fling with Bianchi (his then-19-year-old assistant). Christie did NOT let it slide, and filed for divorce in 2006. Bianchi was also not amused, and sued Cook! They settled out of court last year. Brinkley is pleased HER trial is open to the public because “she’s still spitting mad at Cook.”

Her attorney says that “Since the case hasn’t been able to be resolved, Ms. Brinkley looks forward to her day in court.” Oh yes she is! A woman scorned indeed! Christie’s not only still fab looking, she’s become a very successful real estate investor. Diana is obviously not on his side either, and isn’t likely to help his case. Peter’s an idiot. Christie is NOT, and is gonna clean his clock.
