The Dancing With the Stars 2012 cast celebrities have been whittled down to just three remaining contestants: Latin actor and hunk William Levy, soaring Welsh soprano Katherine Jenkins, and NFL Green Bay Packer Donald Driver. The scores between the three remaining couples were so tight last night there was barely any difference at all, and in the overall DWTS 14 leaderboard, the three pairs are barely separated by a small margin of points.

Who won Dancing With the Stars 14 is really anyone’s guess! Any of the three would be worthy DWTS 2012 winners of the Mirror Ball Trophy. No matter who takes home the top prize on Dancing With the Stars 14, I think they will have earned it.

Still, we all have our favorite couples we are rooting for and I have to admit mine is Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas. I just love how much heart and soul Katherine really seems to put into her dances, even if she isn’t quite perfect all the time or quite as blatantly sexy as William Levy and Cherl Burke and the whole Latin heart-throb seduces beautiful woman thing going on with them. As for Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd, there is now doubt Donald has proven he has the athleticism to kill it on the dance floor. He’s also the only contestant left who hasn’t been battling some kind of injury through half the season. He might be thought by some to be the least likely to win, but I would not count him out just yet!

So who won Dancing With the Stars 2012 and walked away with that coveted Mirror Ball Trophy? Let’s move right along to our Dancing With the Stars results show recap for the finale and find out!

To launch the Dancing With the Star 2012 finale show, we have a very smoking hot little review to get us in the mood for a very long evening of DWTS 2012 madness before we finally learn the results. All the contestants come out and do a little twirl on the dance floor.

For the encore performance for the night, Len Goodman says the judges want to see Donad Driver and Peta Murgatroyd do their Freestyle performance from last night. Why do I feel this is the kiss of death and Donald Driver will not be winning tonight?

Len is loving on the freestyle and thinks Donald Driver is great. The judges move on to talk about how great William Levy is, but Len notes that it takes him a long time to recover when he messes up. The judges think Katherine Jenkins really has more technical ability than any contestant on the show ever, but wonder if she doesn’t put enough passion and emotion into her dances. Len thinks Donald Driver is really driven to win, but that sometimes maybe he tries too hard and loses the natural feeling.

Next up we have a performance from eliminated contestant Sherri Shepherd, dancing a Cha Cha to “It’s Raining Men” with Maxim Chmerkovskiy and Val Chmerkovskiy. Saucy Sherri sandwich!

Now we have Martina Navratilova and Tony Dovolani on the dance floor looking stiff and not so great. They are followed by Jack Wagner and Anna Trebunskaya and they aren’t so great either.

Then we have Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff giving a spin in the ballroom, they still are blah. Wow, you can really see how good the top 3 are in comparison when you see how these former contestants stumble around the dance floor.

Oh, finally, some real information! For their “24 hour challenge” dance, Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas have chosen to do a Jive and we get a bit of a preview on that. And then we have to watch Tristan MacManus and Gladys Knightwith their Jive from earlier in the season. Tristan is going to perform in the Las Vegas Dancing With the Stars show. Yeah, yeah, get on with it already!

Jaleel White and Kym Johnson perform a Paso Doble to Shaft next. Jaleel still looks pretty good and I still think he was one of the better eliminated celebrities. Donald and Peta reveal they will be doing the Cha Cha for their “24 hour challenge” dance tonight and we have a preview of that.

And yet another previous contestant takes the dance floor as Melissa Gilbert dances with Maksim Chmerkovskiy and his brother Val. Melissa is still a terrible dancer but Maks and Val rock. Lastly we have Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower doing a freestyle. Not bad actually.

Now we take a break as former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson takes the stage to perform her new single “Dark Side”.

Finally we have the top 3 coming out to do their “24 hour challenge” dances! First up is William Levy and Cheryl Burke doing the Salsa. He is smoking up the room and the crowd loves it!

Judges: Len Goodman says if Salsa was an Olympic sport, William would get the gold medal. Bruno Tonioli says the hips don’t lie when it comes to a hot and sexy Salsa and nobody does it better than William. Carrie Ann Inaba says William has real star quality and he always raises the temperature in the ballroom!

Scores: Perfect 10s from all the judges.

Katherine and Mark are now doing a Jive for their “24 hour challenge” dance. This is a very fun one and it looks like they are enjoying it.

Judges: Bruno says Katherine is versatile blond bombshell with great technique. She is a stunning dancer and one of the best contestants on the show. Carrie Ann says Katherine is an artist and she set the bar high early in the season. Len thinks Katherine is the total package.

Scores: Perfect 10s from all the judges.

Last we have Donald Driver and Pet Murgatroyd dancing the Cha Cha and Donald is showing off his shirtless bod, which has the audience all crazed.

Judges: Carrie Ann says Donald is a fierce contestant who really shows his love for the show and he is determine to win. Len says there are no losers tonight, all of them are total winners. Donald is the best football player they’ve had. Burno says ‘Donald the Magnificent’ had another huge hit and he just kept improving every week.

Scores: Perfect 10s from all the judges.

Former eliminated contestant Gladys Knight takes to the stage for a final performance while we wait for the results to find out who is the Dancing With the Stars 2012 winner.

Finally we have the results coming in now and wow I am totally surprised by who ended up where! Ready to find out the ranking for the final three? Here we go!

On the one-hour performance show tonight, the final three Dancing With the Stars 2012 cast celebrities will each perform two dances. The first will be a dance chosen for them by the judges from a previous performance from the season. The couples will be allowed to alter the dance to include new choreography and new music to show off how much they have improved during the DWTS 2012 competition.

The second dance will be a freestyle dance, a favorite for Dancing With the Stars 2012 fans. Each of the celebrity contestants and their partners can choose to dance however they want to whatever music they want. These are the most creative dances of the whole Dancing With the Stars season 13 season and I can’t wait to see them!

Following the DWTS 2012 performance show Monday night, each of the couples will be assigned one final “24 Hour Challenge” dance routine they will have put together overnight and perform on the Dancing With the Stars 2012 results show Tuesday night.

William Levy and Cheryl Burke – Cha Cha Cha (Bruno Tonioli)

Judges: Len Goodman says it was absolutely fantastic and as good as any Cha Cha Cha he has seen in 14 seasons of Dancing With the Stars. Bruno Tonioli says it was an intoxicating Cuban cocktail, fantastic and he is green with envy. Carrie Ann Inaba says this was the dance they first saw the magic of William Levy on but now it is perfected and sophisticated.

Judges: Bruno thinks it was perfect. He fell in love with the artistry and the lines were infinitly perfect. Len Goodman says it was like a tapas plate, very satisfying and fabulous. Carrie Ann says it was executed perfectly and it was a great job. We have another set of perfect 10s!

Judges: Carrie Ann says she loved the dance the last time around and she loves it again this time. Len thinks it was a huge improvement over the first time they performed the dance. Bruno says it was very effective, had strong storytelling and he liked it.

Judges: Len Goodmans says that whatever William does, he does it well. He liked it, but it was kind of too predictable. He didn’t just want to see a salsa with lifts. Burno thinks they were two devils let loose on Earth and it was sinful. Carrie Ann says it was totally what a Freestyle dance should be.

Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas – Freestyle

Judges: Bruno says it was flamboyant and fast, he’s never see so much content executed so well and so fast. They were on the money the whole time. Carrie says Katherine is such a fabulous performer and that was the dance of a champion. Len says if he is asleep and dreaming please don’t wake him up, this was perfect freestyle! Another perfect score for Katherine!

Judges: Carrie Ann is floored and says it was her favorite finals ever and this was her favorite dance in it. Len says it was too hot to trot and Donald took a huge chance but it totally worked; fantastic! Bruno syas he just can’t resist a wild West ride and it was ace high; a triumph!

Both of the routines on Monday night will be dances the Dancing With the Stars 2012 cast celebrities have not performed before. The second performance, the ‘Latin Trio Challenge’, will be especially difficult because the celebrity contestant will have to split their dance with two pro partners.

Interestingly enough, Latin heart-throb William Levy will reportedly have both a female and a male pro partner for his trio dance. However, we don’t expect it will feature any kind of gay vibe going on between the two male dancers. I’m envisioning more of a two guys fighting over the same girl kind of theme going on.

Although the early Dancing With the Stars 2012 predictions for this week’s double elimination are already heavily pointing toward Roshon Fegan and Melissa Gilbert as the two DWTS 2012 cast members who will be voted off, I never take anything for granted when it comes to the voters on this show. You just never know when they might decide to turn unpredictable.

Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd — Tango

Judges: Len Goodman says Donald Driver has set the standards high for the night and it was a first round knockout. Bruno Tonioli says it was awesomely aggressive and he thought he might have to call for a marriage counselor! Carrie Ann Inaba thinks Donald and Peta were really in the zone and wonderfully focused.

Scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Len – 9, Bruno – 9 = 27/30

Maria Menounos and Derek Hough — Viennese Waltz

Judges: Len says she is the best in hold dancing and he wants even more of it. Bruno thinks it was heavenly fluid and very emotionally invested; amazing. Carrie Ann says everyone felt it and the dance sung to them; there was a real emotional connection.

Scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 8, Bruno – 10 = 27/30

Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy — Foxtrot

Judges: Len thinks this may have been Melissa Gilbert’s best dance of the whole season. Bruno says the cougar got the prize on this dance and it was the best performance yet for the team. Carrie Ann agrees it was Melissa’s best dance and her body was much better aligned.

Scores: Carrie Ann – 8, Len – 8, Bruno – 8 = 24/30

Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas — Viennese Waltz

Judges: Len says the dance had plenty of story to it and it was terrific. Bruno thinks Katherine’s technique is spot on and the lift was good, although she had a rare moment where she lost it. Carrie Ann also says Katherine’s technique is lovely but she did lose her balance.

Judges: Len calls them two little dancing munchkins and says they did a good job. Bruno says what Roshon has done in only a week is incredible; his lines are clean and his hold fabulous. Carrie Ann says Roshon made his grandmothers and the judges all very proud.

Judges: Len says the dance had flaire and care in the technique, very well done. Bruno says William is a heartbreaker and he could not be more suave if he tried; he hates him. Carrie Ann thinks it was super hot and sexy, the dance was exquisite and the movements gorgeous; so much fun to watch, meow!

Judges: Len thinks it was really, really fun and a great job. Bruno thinks Donald did a beautiful job keeping up with two firecracker ladies. Carrie Ann says she loved his three-way and he kept up with the women the whole way through

Maria Menounos, Derek Hough and Henry Byalikov — Samba

Judges: Len says he didn’t feel the connection with the Samba at all, but if it was a Bollywood performance he would have given it a 10. Bruno thinks the dance was incredibly creative and Maria was the center of attention from both guys. Carrie Ann says there were a few missteps but otherwise they were all perfeclty in sync.

Scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Len – 7, Bruno – 9 = 25/30 (Total: 53/60)

Melissa Gilbert, Maksim Cmerkovskiy and Val Chmerkovskiy — Samba

Judges: Len thinks it was one of Melissa’s best dances of hte season and well done. Bruno calls her Rita Hayworth and says it takes two to get the best out of her. Carrie Ann says Melissa makes a very good little cream filling and gave it her all; what a difference a day makes.

Scores: Carrie Ann – 9, Len – 9, Bruno – 9 = 27/30 (Total: 51/60)

Katherine Jenkins, Derek Hough and Tristan MacManus — Cha Cha

Judges: Len says it was clean and very well done. Bruno says it was cool, sexy and had a modern feel; wonderful. Carrie Ann says Katherine brought the fire and owned the dance.

Scores: Carrie Ann – 10, Len – 9, Bruno – 10 = 29/30 (Total: 55/60)

Roshon Fegan, Chelsie Hightower and Sasha Farber — Paso Doble

Judges: Len says it was two skinny fries chasing the ketchup; great job. Bruno says it was good and there were moments he couldn’t tell the two guys apart. Carrie Ann says it was a good routine, powerful, but he was off a few times.

Judges: Len says he salutes all of them and it was fabulous. Bruno says they lost sync a bit but it was great. Carrie Ann says the lines were incredible and it was insanely fun to watch.

Maks injured his foot during rehearsals for this week’s classical night and he’s been having his brother Val Chmerkovskiy coming to rehearsals in case he won’t be able to perform. No official word yet, but we’ll keep you posted if we find out anything ahead of tonight’s episode of Dancing With the Stars 2012.

I am happy to report that this will be the final week for the dreaded ‘Dance Dual’ where the bottom two ranked couples battle it out to see which one will get saved by the Dancing With the Stars 2012 judges. Personally, I hate that stupid dance off because it invalidates the voters’ choice of who should go home and I will be happy to see it done with after this week!

Guests on Dancing With the Stars 2012 Monday night will include classical music superstar Joshua Bell, reknowned Italian tenor Vittorio Grigolo and soprano prodigy Jackie Evancho. Previously eliminated pro dancers Tristan MacManus and Karina Smirnoff will also return to perform in a dance together.

This week will be especially difficult for Extra co-host Maria Menounos, who is still recovering from a slew of injuries to her ribs, chin and feet. She reported on Twitter this past week that her feet have unfortunately gotten a “little worse” during this round of rehearsals.

Latin heart-throb William Levy is also still recovering from an injury to his ankle and DWTS 2012 cast celebrity Melissa Gilbert is still getting over a mild concussion and whiplash suffered when she struck her head on the floor several weeks back during a performance.

Also on the Dancing With the Stars 2012 injured list this week is Melissa Gilbert’s partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy, who sustained an injury to his foot during rehearsals for classical night. The injury was bad enough that he has been having his brother, Val Chmerkovskiy, come to rehearsals in case he might need to substitute for Maks on Monday night. Still no official word yet on whether Maks will be able to perform this week or not.

Returning to Dancing With the Stars 2012 on Tuesday night, previously eliminated contestant Gavin DeGraw will sing, accompanied by a performance from pro dancers Louis Van Amstel and Karina Smirnoff.

How did the Dancing With the Stars 2012 cast do on week 6′s Motown themed show Monday night? Here is our DWTS 2012 recap of the performances and the judges’ scores for this week’s competition night.(If you can’t see these videos because of where you live, we will have accessible videos for all as soon as they are available.

Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus: Rumba

Comments: Gladys and Tristan are adorable dancing to “My Girl” by The Temptations. I would personally say this is actually one of Gladys’ better performances, although there is still a lot of stiffness and awkward moments.

Judges: Len Goodman says that if he could judge purely with his heard, Gladys would be on top of the leaderboard. Bruno Tonioli says Gladys has true star quality, but he likes his rumba with more spice. Carrie Ann Inaba tells Gladys that if any night is going to belong to someone, this was the night for Gladys. She says she would pay money to see her dance again, but there were a lot of forgetful moments.

Scores: Carrie Ann Inaba: 7 Len Goodman: 7 Bruno Tonioli: 7 = 21 out of 30

Maria Menounos and Derek Hough: Foxtrot

Comments: A beautiful, elegant performance to “Jimmy Mack” by Martha Reeves. There was, perhaps, a little lack in the emotive department with this performance, but it was smooth and gorgeous to watch.

Judges: Len Goodman thought it was a joy to his eyes and it was beautifully formal. Bruno thought it was sophisticated and brilliant with excellent movement. Carrie Ann picked on Maria’s shoulders being up too much in the second half, but thought it was a good job.

Score: Carrie Ann Inaba: 8 Len Goodman: 9 Bruno Tonioli: 9 = 26 out of 30

Roshon Fegan and professional dancer Chelsie Hightower: Rumba

Comments: Roshon and Chelsie dance the Rumba to “Cruisin’ by Smokey Robinson. This was one of the pair’s weakest performances to me. There were obvious missteps in my opinion and Roshon looked uncomfortable with his movements.

Judges: Len thought the dance was too jerky and the movements were like ‘paint by numbers’. Bruno said the performance was great, but it wasn’t supposed to be hip hip, it was the RUmba. Carrie Ann thought it was sexy at the end, but said Roshon overdid it and at one point his foot was way wrong.

Score: Carrie Ann: 7 Len: 8 Bruno: 8 = 23 out of 30

Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas: Samba

Comments: Katherine and Mark dance a hot Samba to “I Can’t Get Next To You” by The Temptations. This is once again a super fabulous dance and these two prove again why they are up there on the leaderboard smoking the competition.

Judges: Len asks if that was an earthquake going through and says he is going to call Katherine the midwife because she delivers every week. Bruno says the meeting of Brazil and Funky Town has never been more thrilling. Carrie Ann says they really let loose and it was an amazing performance.

Scores: Carrie Ann: 10 Len: 9 Bruno: 10 = 29 out of 30

Donald Driver and professional dancer Peta Murgatroyd: Foxtrot

Comments: Donald and Peta are smoking, but maybe not quite as much as the week before last when they really shined their best. However, I think this was a very strong performance and they looked really great on the dance floor tonight.

Judges: Len says Donald really gave the fireworks tonight and came out and exploded, he loved it. He tells Peta to keep working on Donald because he could be a really great dancer. Bruno says Donald is a show man with great power and confidence, and he just keeps getting better. Carrie Ann thought it was great and loved it.

Score: Carrie Ann: 9 Len: 9 Bruno: 9 = 27 out of 30

Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy: Viennese Waltz

Comments: Melissa and Maks dance the Viennese Waltz to “Ooh Baby Baby” by Smokey Robinson and it was actually one of their better performances. This dance had a little more grace from Melissa than usual and I wonder if it might just be good enough to save them this week.

Judges: Len says they lost some energy toward the end, but the dance showed romance and control, and was a great job. Bruno thought there were some amazing moments and they are going in the right direction. Carrie Ann says there was some artistry in the dance it the hard work is finally paying off, but Melissa needs to watch her shoulders.

Jaleel White and Kym Johnson: Quickstep

Comments: Jaleel and Kym dance the Cha Cha Cha to “Ain’t To Proud To Beg” by The Temptations. This may have been Jaleel’s best performance yet and certainly is one of the best of the night. They really tore it up tonight!

Judges: Len says he thought from the start that Jaleel was a contender and he is back! Burno says Jaleel burned up the floor in the biggest sizzler of the season and says Jaleel is back big time. Carrie Ann says he has to bring his ‘A’ game every time and he has totally rocked his ‘A’ game tonight.

Scores: Carrie Ann: 10 Len: 9 Bruno: 10 = 29 out of 30

William Levy and Cheryl Burke: Rumba

Comments: William Levy is as lust inspiring as usual as he sets the dance floor on fire, but the sexy may be hiding a bit of imperfection this week. There is no denying these two are totally sexy together and dance beautifully, but this was not their best performance. Great, but not the best.

Judges: Bruno calls the dance utter filth and says he loved every second of it. He says they are wired for sex and women everywhere are going into ecstacy. (What a mouth Bruno has!) Len says William is physically impressive and exudes confidence while the dance was a bit on the raunchy side for him and could have been better. Carrie Ann said on behalf of all the women out there, thank you, but she’d like to see more content.

This week on Dancing With the Stars 2012 is a Motown theme and each of the eight remaining cast celebrities will be performing twice. Each celebrity and their professional dance partner will have to perform a new dance style. Plus, all of the DWTS 2012 cast members will have to battle it out head to head in a Motown Marathon dance-off. The longer a celebrity stays in the marathon, the more points they will earn toward their total overall scores.

Rumor has it that DWTS 2012 week 6 might just be a dreaded double elimination week. So instead of there being a top 7 next week, there may only be a top 6 left to battle it out. We cannot confirm this rumor yet, but it is being put out there by some usually reliable sources.

We also hear that next theme on Dancing With the Stars 2012 week 7 will be ‘classical’ and if the double elimination does not happen this week, then it is very high odds that it will happen next week.

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Donald Driver, who has been having a stellar past few weeks on Dancing With the Stars 2012, says he was very excited to prepare for Motown week “because we have one of the biggest stars in Motown history on the cast.” Driver wrote in his Journal Sentinel blog that it has “been such a pleasure getting to know Gladys Knight and I think everyone wants to come out and give their best performances of the season on Monday’s show to pay tribute to her amazing career.”

On Dancing With the Stars 2012 Monday night, the eight remaining celebrity contestants will each have to perform a new dance style. Here’s the rundown on who will be dancing what this week:

• Melissa and Maks: Viennese Waltz
• Gladys and Tristan: Rumba
• Jaleel and Kym: Quickstep
• Donald and Peta: Foxtrot
• Roshon and Chelsie: Rumba
• Maria and Derek: Foxtrot
• William and Cheryl: Rumba
• Katherine and Mark: Samba

All of the Dancing With the Stars 2012 cast members will also have participate in a Motown Marathon showdown. The contestants will all hit the dance floor together and points will be awarded based on when they are tapped out to leave the dance floor by the judges.

Performers on Monday night for DWTS 2012 Motown week reportedly will include Boyz II Men, Smokey Robinson, The Temptations and Martha Reeves. The vocal group Human Nature will also be performing Motown hits throughout the evening and pro dancers Anna Trebunskaya and Val Chmerkovskiy will perform in a special dance to Smokey Robinson’s “Tears of a Clown.”

WARNING: DANCING WITH THE STARS 2012 SPOILERS AHEAD

Dancing the tango, Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus are the next to hit the dance floor. I always feel a bit awkward about the older contestants on Dancing With the Stars because you know they just can move like the younger celebrities. That is unfortunately a serious detriment in a dance like the tango. Gladys Knight looks stiff and uncomfortable with partner Tristan MacManus and it just did not work out well.

The judges were also not impressed by Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus, but they kept the comments nice. Len Goodman told Gladys he thought she “coped very well with very difficult music” even though it was not their best dance. Bruno Tonioli called Gladys Knight a “class act” but thought the dance lacked impact. While Carrie Ann Inaba thought it was by far their “most ambitious routine,” she “felt like it didn’t quite come together.” Gladys and Tristan received the lowest score of the night with a dismal 20 points in total.

Warning, this next couple is so hot, they might just burn your eyes out! Unfortunately, William Levy and Cheryl Burke sullied their mutual hotness a bit by choosing the second weirdest dance to do for rock week (the first weirdest belongs to Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower, but we’ll get to that in a bit). Even worse, William Levy and Cheryl Burke combined the jive with an 80s song that just did not go. Plus, it looked like they made some obvious mistakes several times in the choreography. Although normally I’m a huge fan of this duo, their performance on Dancing With the Stars 2012 just failed to shine this week.

Len Goodman summed up the judge’s opinion of the dance by saying “it is what it is. You went wrong. You lost timing during the end part … you gotta nail the routines, William. Otherwise, anything can happen.” Bruno Tonioli agreed that while the couple’s performance “always rocks the house,” their dance Monday night wasn’t “quite as good as it used to be.” Carrie Ann Inaba also told the pair they are beloved by the crowd, but they “just gotta watch the routine and stay focused.” The total score from the judges for William and Cheryl this week was a disappointing 22.

Next up we had Disney star Roshon Fegan and partner Chelsie Hightower. Now, I just have to ask, who the hell thought it would be a good idea to do a Viennese waltz during rock week? Despite the oddness of the choice, however, the performance was actually quite good and Roshon shows off some serious dancing feet. I was not as impressed as the judges seemed to be, but I have to give them props for choosing a very unusual dance to do for rock week and pulling it off well.

Len Goodman said he thought Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower performed the dance with style and panache. Bruno Tonioli also thought it was a great performance, “elegant and romantic,” and said Roshon was “flying so high you can touch the sky!” The judges gave the pair a total score of 26, ranking them the second best of the evening behind Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd.

Carrie Ann Inaba was also delighted with the Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower waltz and uttered perhaps the most innocently wrong statement of the evening when she said it was like “watching the climax out of a Disney movie.”

I get what Carrie Ann meant to say, but I don’t really think combining the word “climax” with the phrase “Disney movie” in reference to a handsome, young couple gyrating on the dance floor was the best choice of words…

Another stellar performance in our Dancing With the Stars 2012 week 4 recap was Maria Menounos and Derek Hough doing the tango. The speed and power of the dance was spot on and Menounos managed to look very graceful even sporting a broken foot (and still painful cracked ribs as well). This was most certainly one of my top three favorite dances of the evening.

The judges overall gave the dance strong praise, with just a bit of nit-picking about control from Len Goodman. Bruno Tonioli said the dance was full of “beauty, attitude and sex appeal by the truckload” and can’t wait to see what Maria Menounos will pull off next when her foot is better healed. Carrie Ann Inaba gushed about the dance as well, saying the two had “such incredible chemistry” and she was in love with every move. The couple walked away with 26 points in a tie for the second best score for the night with Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower.

To wrap it up for the night, Dancing With the Stars 2012 finished off the rock week performances with a tango by Gavin DeGraw and Karina Smirnoff. This pair has been ranked around the bottom every single week so far and they really needed to step it up tonight to keep themselves safe from going home. Unfortunately, while they did do somewhat better this week, it was still kind of a mess. Gavin DeGraw just looks like a mule trying to dance. I’m sorry, but that’s what I think of when I see him trying to look graceful … a mule in dancing shoes.

The judges were perhaps a bit more politic with their comments for the evening than I. Len Goodman said he liked the dance, but said he didn’t like the crazy parts. He also said Gavin DeGraw needed to “tuck your bum under,” which is just funny to listen to him say. Bruno Tonioli told DeGraw his “frame was bad” and it was like “watching a turtle at times,” but complimented the singer for being “very determined and very focused.” Carrie Ann Inaba also thought DeGraw’s ”posture was a little strange” and said she “felt like I was watching Johnny Depp on this stage.” I personally think that was an insult to Johnny Depp. The couple scored quite low once again, managing to pull only a 23 out of 30 from the judges.

So there we have it for Dancing With the Stars this week. Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd came out on top with 27 points, followed very closely by Roshon Fegan and Chelsie Hightower, and Maria Menounos and Derek Hough in a tie for second place with 26 points each. On the bottom, we had Gladys Knight and Tristan MacManus with 20 points, with Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy scoring only slightly higher at 21 points.

The Dancing With the Stars 2012 elimination results show airs Tuesday night at 9 PM ET on ABC.

To kick off the competition this week, guest performers KISS lit up the stage (literally, courtesy of pyrotechnics) before the first couple strutted out for their rock week performance. The first rock concert I ever went to was a KISS concert. That dates me and makes me feel incredibly old right now after watching them creak around the stage.

Finally, it is on to the first Dancing With the Stars 2012 cast celebrity, Sherri Shepherd, dancing the tango with Val Chmerkovskiy. Sherri Shepherd isn’t one of my favorites this season, but she was fun to watch with the whole table dancing thing. She’s not the most graceful person though and she looked a bit unsteady through several parts of the dance.

The judges were a mixed bag when it came down to the reviews. Len Goodman told Sherri Shepherd and Val Chmerkovskiy they did a “great job,” but Carrie Ann Inaba thought Sherri was lacking her “normal exuberance” and said her “face was expressionless, which I’ve never seen before.” Overall the judges rated Sherri and Val with three sevens for a total score of 21.

Next up we had the current Dancing With the Stars 2012 favorites, Katherine Jenkins and Mark Ballas. The two were smoking hot as they ignite the dance floor in a smoldering paso doble. Katherine might have had a stutter step moment here and there, but overall it is once again a very well done performance – though not my favorite of theirs so far. Honestly, having done so well up until now, anything less than near-perfection from these two almost seems more disappointing.

The judges agreed it was not the couple’s best performance on Dancing With the Stars season 14 so far. Len Goodman said that although they “went for the attack,” the dance “had promise but didn’t quite deliver.” Bruno Tonioli was pleased to see Katherine “on kickass mode” but thought she and Mark Ballas ”forgot to finish” the dance and it “wasn’t as clean and precise and defined as a paso should be.” Carrie Ann Inaba also admired the intensity of the dance, but thought it threw the pair off their footing. The end result was a score of only 24 for the leading favorites.

Jaleel White, who has been the subject of mass tabloid rumors this week about his alleged attitude problem, was next to take the floor with Dancing With the Stars 2012 partner Kym Johnson. Jaleel White and Kym Johnson decided to do a tango this week, which is normally one of my favorite dances. Although they have been strong overall, this week Jaleel White and Kym Johnson seem weaker than usual. The dance lacks fire and seems to drag on a bit.

Len Goodman admired the “humor” put into the dance by Jaleel White and his Mick Jagger strut, but thought the former child actor needed “more attack, a little bit more aggression” for the tango. “It’s gotta be… panther-like stalking across the floor,” Goodman said. Bruno Tonioli loved the Jagger beginning, but thought the overall performance was “a little bit underpowered.” Carrie Ann Inaba actually criticized Jaleel White for being “a little too smooth,” but said she loved the dance and its funky weirdness. The judges only gave the couple a score of 22 out of 30.

Dancing the second paso doble of the evening on Dancing With the Stars 2012, Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy were perhaps the least ‘rock’ couple of the evening. The dance fails to embody the aggressive, forceful feeling of a paso doble and Melissa Gilbert frankly looks like a wallflower next to steamy, hot Maksim. Overall the dance just fails to impress, no matter how yummy Maks is.

The judges were not all that pleased with Melissa Gilbert and Maksim Chmerkovskiy once again. Len Goodman said he liked it, but his praise was lukewarm. Bruno Tonioli thought there was “hot-blooded drama aplenty” and “loved the flavor of Spain” in the dance. However, he said the couple messed up the ending. Carrie Ann Inaba though it was their best performance so far, but thought Melissa Gilbert needed to push up her confidence level. The judges gave them an overall score of 22.

With another paso doble, Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd offered up one of the best dances of the evening. Unlike the dance by Melissa and Maks, this paso doble doesn’t lack in the aggression and the ending spin by Peta was stellar. Donald Driver and Peta Murgatroyd definitely pulled out all the stops for rock week, that’s for sure.

The Dancing With the Stars 2012 judges were quite as impressed across the board with this dance as I was. Len Goodman once again pulled out a barely appropriate comment in his praise of the dance, saying he “never thought I’d get so excited seeing a man with his shirt off” and said after the show “we’ll compare tattoos.” Goodman also said he thought it was the pair’s best dance so far. Bruno Tonioli also noted Donald Driver’s massive muscles and said the dance “had power, it had pride, and a bit of a sense of humor.”

As for Carrie Ann Inaba, she seemed slightly stunned. “What the heck did I just see?” she exclaimed. “That was the most bizarre, sexy, hot pasos I’ve ever seen.” Naturally, after all that praise, the judges ranked the couple very high with solid 9s across the board for a total score of 27 — the highest score of the night.
