Even if that story is true, which it’s probably not, what on earth made him think that driving on pain pills when he was drowsy was acceptable? Â It’s not about whether alcohol was the specific cause – the point is not to drive under the influence of anything that can affect your ability to drive safely. Â If he had somewhere he needed to be that badly, he should have taken a taxi or gotten a friend to drive him.
