Just a year after she suffered a devestating emotional breakdown, Demi Lovato has announced a 10-city tour in November to celebrate the release of her new album Unbroken. The former Disney Channel star will launch her new tour in Detroit on November 16.
Only a year ago, teen star Demi Lovato dropped out of a concert tour with the Jonas Brothers to enter a three month treatment program after a severe emotional breakdown. The Sonny With a Chance star has since come out openly about her 10 year battle with eating disorders and depression. Lovato has admitted she started cutting herself at the age of 11 in attempt to deal with her pain.
Lovato, 19, is now back in the saddle again and will launch a new 10-city concert tour sponsored by AEG Live in November. The tour for her aptly named new album Unbroken will begin on November 16 in Detroit and end in Chicago on December 3. Tickets will go on sale October 14 at AEGLive.com at 10AM. Fan club members can purchased tickets early on Wednesday Oct. 12 thorugh THursday Oct. 13.
In advance of her new tour, Demi Lovato performed two shows in Los Angeles and New York in September, which garnered positive reviews. Lovato told MTV News recently she is working on releasing her second single from Unbroken, “Who’s That Boy.”
