DAS Communications, a company that used to be responsible for pop star Kesha’s management, has filed a law suit claiming the singer owes them $14 million dollars in lost revenue. Â Apparently Kesha signed a deal with this people stating that they would have the right to 20% of her future income, but after she started working with producer Dr. Luke in 2008, she cut ties with DAS and failed to pay up.
Kesha’s lawyer maintains that even though DAS was supposed to be managing her, they had nothing to do with her collaboration with Dr. Luke, and therefore they have no right to the money they’re claiming. Â DAS’ counter-claim is that without their promotion, Kesha never would have been in a position where she could have met someone like Dr. Luke in the first place, and therefore they deserve their cut.
