Elin Nordegren was not on hand when Tiger Woods failed to reclaim his golf glory at the Masters. Tiger Woods’ wife was also reportedly ‘furious’ over the creepy Nike commercial he appeared in overdubbed with the voice of his dead father. Now the rumors of an impending divorce between Woods and Nordegren have flared up again.
After Tiger Woods placed a disappointing fourth at the Masters tournament, wife Elin Nordegren reportedly hopped a plane to an unknown destination, leaving her children and husband behind. Sources close to the couple are allegedly saying she was extremely upset over Woods’ return to golf so soon and the Nike commercial he starred in that played during the Masters.
“Elin was violently angry over this commercial and thought it was a cheesy thing to do,” an alleged friend told People. “She wouldn’t have gone near the Masters under any condition, but that just made her madder. She is over Tiger. I wouldn’t be surprised if she files for divorce sometime soon.”
Woods has already scheduled his next golf tournament, turning in his entry for the U.S. Open in Pebble Beach, CA from June 17-20. Nordegren is reportedly not pleased with her husband’s focus on his career rather than repairing the damage to his family.
If Elin Nordegren is indeed finally ready to file for divorce from Tiger Woods, she’s keeping it well hidden so far. No legal paperwork regarding a split has been filed and there is no real confirmation she has even met with a divorce attorney. Still, we can’t hope but help she will realize that a Tiger can’t change his stripes and get the hell out.
