The funeral was a who’s who of Hollywood names, and many stars, including Elton John, have praised Taylor’s work not only as an actress, but as an activist for AIDS back when being an AIDS activist was a very uncool thing to do.  Taylor was 79.

The Memoriam video is a traditional part of every Academy Awards and last night the Oscars paid tribute to fallen stars such as Patrick Swayze, Ron Silver, Natasha Richardson and David Carradine. Two very well known names in particular, however, were missing from the tribute – Farrah Fawcett and Bea Arthur.

Farrah Fawcett is best known, of course, for her role on Charlie’s Angels and TV films like The Burning Bed. However, she also starred in movies like The Cannonball Run, The Apostle and Extremities, for which she was nominated for a best actress Golden Globe. Golden Girls star Bea Arthur also had a notable film career, including roles in the Oscar-nominated film Lovers and Other Strangers and Mame.

Fans of both actresses are upset the two were not included in the Oscars Memoriam tribute, especially since the Academy did include Michael Jackson. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences responded to the controversy by saying that there just is not enough time to include everyone in the film industry that passed away over the last year. “Every year it’s an unfortunate reality that we can’t include everybody, spokeswoman Leslie Unger said, according to the London Daily Telegraph.

We’re sure it is difficult as hell to decide who will be included in the memorial montage every year, but leaving out people like Farrah Fawcett and Bea Arthur just seems totally off the rocker. Half the people in the montage had less recognition in the movie industry than these two amazing ladies. If Michael Jackson gets to be considered a “movie star” then not including Arthur and Fawcett is just plain rude.

Joe Jonas and actress girlfriend Camilla Belle have officially broken up, a rep for Belle told Access Hollywood. No cheating or other nastiness was supposedly involved and the two reportedly remain on good terms. We’re pretty sure Joe won’t have to be lonely for long. After all, the Jonas Brothers are currently on tour – there are sure to be plenty of screaming groupies to go around for all.

Troubled actress Mischa Barton is ready to go back to work after spending some time in the hospital for an ‘undisclosed’ condition.  Barton will reportedly return to work at her new gig on the TV series The Beautiful Life on Friday. Hopefully Barton will be spending a lot of time in the makeup chair covering up how totally wasted she looks with her ‘undisclosed’ condition. Then again, she is playing a drug-addicted model on the show, so maybe they should just let her go au natural.

In a hilarious and somewhat scary moment of fan insanity at Comic-Con this week, a crazed Megan Fox devotee attempted to persuade the Hollywood hottie to star in his own private sex tape. Fox was promoting her upcoming film Jonah Hex when the freakish fan gushed that he had just graduated film school and would she like to help him out by starring in a celebrity sex tape? Unsurprisingly, the fan was quickly seized and booted out of Comic-Con on his ass by security. Honestly, if Fox was going to do a celebrity sex tape, we’re thinking she has a lot better choices for co-stars than a Comic-Con geek fan boy.

It might just be love for The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski. Harris accepted a marriage proposal from technology consultant Swiderski on the finale of The Bachelorette on Monday. Are Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski still together? Fans will have to wait until Tuesday night’s The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose special to hopefully find out if the couple stuck it out.

23-year-old Daniel Bark has been charged with vehicular homicide in the hit-and-run death of former American Idol contestant Alexis Cohen.

Hulk Hogan is now a free man. Hogan and former wife Linda Bollea finally hashed out the last details of their divorce settlement. Details are not being released to the public.

Charlie’s Angels star Farrah Fawcett left druggie son Redmond a three million inheritance on her death. But the funds will be strictly controlled through a monthly allowance in hopes Redmond will actually take the chance to clean up his life once he eventually gets out of jail.

56-year-old Patrick’s rep released a statement to E! News saying:

“This is to confirm that Patrick Swayze did not pass away this morning contrary to severely reckless reports stemming from a radio station in Jacksonville, Fla. Patrick is alive, well and is enjoying his life and he continues to respond to treatment,” his publicist added.

Snark Food is keeping the positive thoughts and prayers up for Patrick and Farrah Fawcett.

Farrah reportedly doesn’t know that her son with O’Neil, Redmond, is in jail on another drug charge. That is as it should be. Snark Food’s prayers go out for Farrah and her loved ones.

Tabloid reports have been published saying the star was unconscious and near death in an L.A. hospital Her spokesman, however, says she’s lucid, fighting a blood clot from the recent cancer treatment and thanks her fans for their well-wishes.

Authorities found Redmond in possession of the drug while a vial was discovered in Ryan’s bedroom, a Los Angeles County Sheriff’s spokesman told the LA Times. Redmond was already on probation for an arrest last year in Malibu on charges related to possession of heroin and meth while driving under the influence.

Ryan, an Academy Award nominee for his starring role in 1970′s Love Story, was ALSO arrested last year on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and negligent discharge of a firearm during a fight with his other son, Griffin. Ryan claimed then that he only fired a warning shot. That’s the way to get their attention, parents! Screw cutting them out of the will, just get out the handgun.

American Media Inc., which bought The Globe in 2000, is trying to cover their asses by saying the shizzola that went on before then isn’t their responsibility. American Media’s rep declined to comment on the current Enquirer case. His job is on the line, regular news people,he’s not saying anything else. Press conference over.
