Rapper Flo Rida was arrested on DUI charges Thursday morning after police witnessed him weaving around the road in his luxury 2008 Bugatti in Miammi Beach. Flo, whose real name is Tramar Dillard, was taken into custody and charged with DUI and driving on a suspended license.
Flo Rida seems to have confessed immediately to police that he had been drinking when they attempted to give him a sobriety field test. “Officer, I can’t do this,” the rapper reportedly told cops, according to Today.com. “I can’t walk a straight line. I had a few drinks. Let’s do another test. I live on the other side of the bridge. I can make it home.”
Several people who had gathered at the scene reportedly pleaded with police to let the rapper go and offered to drive him home, according to MTV.com.
Well, officers apparently weren’t into that idea and arrested Flo Rida instead, booking him for drunk driving and having a suspended license. TMZ.com reports Rida’s blood alcohol level was over twice the legal limit at the time of his arrest. Rida had his license suspenced in May after failing to pay a traffic fine.
