Former British pop star Gary Glitter, aka Paul Gadd, was arrested Sunday on charges of child sex abuse. The 68-year-old London resident was escorted from his home by police Sunday morning and his home searched for evidence relating to the charges against him.
Gary Glitter rose to fame in the 1970s with the hit song “Rock and Roll” and sold over 18 million records by 1975. This is not the first time Gary Glitter has faced charges of child sex abuse. He was previously convicted of sexual abuse of two young girls in Vietnam in 2006 and served prison time.
