Under the terms of the divorce, Kate Gosselin will reportedly remain living with her eight children in the couple’s former family home in Pennsylvania and retain primary custody of the kids. Jon will have visitation rights, an arrangement the former couple reportedly made in advance. Jon Gosselin has allegedly been whammed with huge child support payments, a severe blow for the former reality TV dad since he’s basically unemployed at this point.

Jon Gosselin and the TLC network are currently involved in some serious legal wrangling and right now TLC has his balls in a sling. Under a judge’s order, Jon Gosselin must abide by the terms of his exclusive contract with TLC, which means he can’t take on any unauthorized paid work – like blabbing to tabloids or ranting on talk shows for cash.

So, basically, Jon Gosselin got sick of his wife because she was controlling and inhibited his desire to party like a teenager. Only to end up with TLC controlling him like a puppet and Kate Gosselin getting all the goodies in their divorce. Good trade? We think not…

Monday night’s finale of Jon & Kate Plus 8 opened with a snarky shot of a sign posted by Jon Gosselin in front of the former couple’s home stating: “No film crew or production staff from TLC is permitted on this property under penalty of Trespass.”

TLC obviously wanted to make it clear why most of the episode was a rehash of former shows and scraped off the floor b-roll video – and exactly who was to blame for that. Kate Gosselin was clear in driving home the point that the end of Jon & Kate Plus 8 is all Jon Gosselin’s fault too.

“This is a very bittersweet goodbye for me because the kids are already missing it,” Kate Gosselin said. “Our show has provided opportunities that we wouldn’t have otherwise had. I feel like it’s been taken from us. From me and the kids… It’s needless; it’s useless. It was totally avoidable.”

Jon Gosselin, meanwhile, basked in the glory of his newfound freedom in his final moments on tape. “Our marriage fell apart, and I felt like I was free,” Gosselin said. Free, he said, to revert to being a 23-year-old again. Nice touch how he basically said it was awesome that he can run away and escape his kids whenever he wants and only come back when he ‘misses’ them.

All in all, the Jon & Kate Plus 8 finale was a sad homage to the ruin of a family that once captured our hearts and now just makes us cringe every time we see the name ‘Gosselin’ in a headline.

Kate Gosselin may still have feelings for her soon-to-be ex, but getting unhitched from this loser is the best thing she could do for herself. You just don’t bring flowers to your ex in the midst of divorce proceedings. Talk about a lack of class!

“This has been called the real-life War of the Roses,” Jon Gosselin’s attorney Mark Heller told People, “and he brought that as a peace offering to break the ice and try to bring the war to an end.” Kate Gosselin, unsurprisingly, turned the ‘peace’ offering down cold.

Jon and Kate Gosselin’s divorce should hopefully be finalized by the end of the year. Unfortunately, with TLC suing Jon Gosselin for breach of contract and Kate Gosselin working on her own nefarious plans for a new TV show – we’ll surely have yet another year of Gosselins in the tabloids to (not) look forward to.

The final episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 airs Monday night on TLC. Can’t say we’re all that sorry to see it go!

No, seriously. In court documents filed last week, Jon Gosselin claims he has been left “without the ability to secure non-entertainment related engagements” because of the tabloid frenzy resulting from the drama surrounding Jon & Kate Plus 8 and his impending divorce from estranged wife Kate Gosselin.

Gosselin says the “enormous media interest, cameras, reporters and public interest makes it impossible to carry on normal daily activities, let alone find, secure and maintain a job…” Well, we have to admit, after all his fame-whoring, womanizing and nasty bad-mouthing in the press, we wouldn’t want to hire him to clean our toilets.

TLC filed a lawsuit earlier this month claiming Jon Gosselin breached his exclusive contract with the network by making media appearances without their permission. In his countersuit against TLC, Jon Gosselin claims the network has damaged his reputation and good name and caused him “lost business opportunities and “lost profits.” Funny, we thought Jon Gosselin was doing a really good job of tarnishing his own name and reputation without any help at all from TLC.

Gosselin also claims TLC violated Pennsylvania’s child labor laws and did not compensate his family enough for their work on Jon & Kate Plus 8.

Jon Gosselin is scheduled to appear in court on Dec. 14 for a hearing on the TLC lawsuit against him for violating his contract.

TLC filed the lawsuit against Jon Gosselin last month, claiming the Jon & Kate Plus 8 star violated his contract agreements by making TV appearances without the network’s permission. Gosselin is scheduled to appear in court on December 14. TLC has filed subpoenas for his girlfriend, Hailey Glassman and friend Michael Lohan, as well as Gosselin’s lawyer, bodyguard and talent agent, to also appear in court as witnesses against him.

Michael Lohan, who has stirred up controversy himself in an ongoing battle with daughter Lindsay Lohan, has been called in to testify about business dealings with Jon Gosselin. Lohan has publicly stated he was working on an idea for a reality show about divorced dads with Gosselin at one point.

As for Hailey Glassman, she could prove bad news for her on-again, off-again boyfriend. Obviously she has no problems talking about things that make Jon Gosselin look bad in the press. Just recently, Glassman appeared in a TV interview and called Gosselin “emotionally abusive” and prone to “mantrums”.

“He said he was going to kill himself,” Stephanie Santoro told RadarOnline.com. The former Gosselin babysitter claims Jon Gosselin called her after he and girlfriend Hailey Glassman broke up and said he “was going to end it all… [Jon said] that he couldn’t handle it anymore. That his kids would be better taken care of by Kate if he wasn’t around.”

As for Hailey Glassman, Jon’s so-called girlfriend, she’s also spilling her guts about her relationship with the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star everywhere she gets a chance. In an interview on The Insider, Glassman said when Jon and Kate Gosselin first split, Jon would “just sit there and ask ‘Why? Why? Why?’ and just sat there and cried. And he didn’t understand… It’s like he can’t handle somebody leaving him.”

Perhaps all these woman dissing him in the media has finally gotten through to him. Jon Gosselin publicly apologized for his recent behavior this week and said he is “committed to making things right with Hailey as well as Kate and especially my children. I ask you to please give me the opportunity to prove myself.”

Haven’t you been given enough opportunities already, Mr. Gosselin?

“He’ll call me and take his anger out on me,” Hailey Glassman says in the interview. “He has ‘mantrums.’ I shouldn’t have to put up with being emotionally abused. I cry and say, ‘Why are you so mean to me?’” However, despite Jon Gosselin’s treatment of her, Glassman did not confirm rumors the two have officially broken up. Although, after this interview, Jon Gosselin would be a total idiot not to dump Glassman’s fame-whoring ass if they are still an item.

“I don’t want to leave him all alone. I love him but I dislike him at times. When I love someone, I would never hurt them.” Hailey Glassman also claims Jon Gosselin has “trouble with the truth… he will dance and dance around his lies. He’s like Jekyll and Hyde.”

Even so, Glassman apparently can’t shake her feelings for Gosselin. “I love him, but as for my family and I, he needs to regain our trust.”

Most amusingly, Glassman says she wants her “name to be forgotten” by the media. The problem is, she is saying this while prostituting herself out for yet another media interview. Sorry, Hailey, it’s hard to believe you crave anonymity when you won’t shut the hell up whenever the media comes knocking at your door.

“I’ve done enough years on TV that I feel like it’s a normal, comfortable, natural place to be,” Kate Gosselin said on the ‘question and answer’ episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8. “I’d love to be in a movie at some point, I’d love to be the voice of a cartoon character in a movie for my kids. I think that would be fun.”

Fun for her, we’re sure. After all, without that Hollywood paycheck, how is she going to afford her full-time nanny? Her part-time nanny? Her house cleaner? Her landscapers? Her shoe habit and hair stylist? Fame and fortune is like crack, once you smoke it, you just can’t ever go back – even if it ruins your life, kills your marriage and corrupts your children.

The sad thing is, someone out there will probably give her what she wants – for a while. As long as Jon Gosselin and Kate Gosselin remain a tabloid headline, there will be sleazeballs willing to cash in on the free publicity. Kate Gosselin has already taped a pilot for one talk show already. TLC is still hoping to get Kate Plus 8 off the ground, despite Jon Gosselin’s injunction against any further taping of his children. Kate Gosselin has got her mouth on the fame bit and she’s not likely to let go anytime soon.

The saddest thing is that Kate Gosselin doesn’t seem to realize the only real reason why anyone wants her at this point is to exploit her and her family drama – not because she’s all that interesting herself. Hollywood will probably be happy to use and abuse her until the public loses interest – and then they’ll dump her off into obscurity again without a second thought.

Jon Gosselin declared in court Monday he had returned $180,000 he had withdrawn from the former couple’s bank account to comply with a previous order from the judge in the ongoing financial dispute. Kate Gosselin, who was also scheduled to appear, was MIA – attending a women’s conference and book signing in California.

Blasting Kate Gosselin for not showing up, Jon Gosselin said his estranged wife has still not accounted for $33,000 she took from the joint account. Kate’s attorney, Cheryl Young, said the arbitrator in the couple’s divorce had not asked for her client to explain her usage of the funds and said she is “fully compliant.”

Jon wasn’t the only one pissed off by Kate’s blow-off, his laywer went on a full-out tirade about the woman he calls “the old lady who lived in the shoe.”

The Gosselins are due back in court in November for another divorce arbitration session. The final episode of Jon & Kate Plus 8 airs Monday night.

Kate Gosselin claims her soon-to-be ex-husband took $230,000 total out of their joint account without her approval. The financial dispute erupted just days after Jon Gosselin forced TLC to shut down filming of Jon & Kate Plus 8 by revoking his permission for the network to film his children.

In a court appearance over the allegedly missing money, a judge ordered Jon Gosselin to return $180,000 of the funds he took. Marring Kate’s victory somewhat, the judge also ruled she would have to provide accounting for $55,000 she took from the account, supposedly for household expenses. The former couple is due in court Monday as a follow-up to the judge’s ruling. If the terms set out are not met, one or both of them could face contempt charges.

Jon Gosselin’s lawyer informed Kate Gosselin’s attorneys on Friday that he has agreed to repay the remainder of the money the judge told him to give back, $152,000.  Though, according to TMZ.com, the money has not yet exchanged hands. Jon Gosselin has reportedly already repaid $28,000 of the funds.

Kate Gosselin, on the other hand, so far seems to have taken no action regarding the $55,000 Jon Gosselin said she withdrew from the joint account.

“Unless something happens today [with Kate] she will be going through contempt proceedings Monday,” lawyer Mark Heller told People on Friday.
