Academy Award-winning actress Halle Berry is reportedly engaged to marry boyfriend Olivier Martinez. Berry met the French actor on the set of the movie Dark Tide, which is due for release later this year.
Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez reportedly got engaged over the holidays, according to a report from Us Weekly. Apparently, according to the tabloid, nearly every celebrity couple in existence got engaged over the holidays. Maybe they’ll all get married at Valentine’s, who knows.
A representative for jewelry designer Gurhan told People magazine that Olivier Martinez, 46, proposed to Halle Barry, 45, with a diamond and emerald engagement ring. An anonymous source allegedly told Us Weekly that Berry “had given up on being married, but she trusts Olivier. He makes her feel safe. He’s a keeper!”
Berry and Martinez co-starred in the film Dark Tide, which was filmed in 2010 and will hit theaters later this year. Berry was previously married twice, to Atlanta Braves player David Justice and singer Eric Benet. She also shares custody with a 3-year-old daughter, Nahla, with ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry.
As for Martinez, he reportedly dated Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue for a number of years before the two split in 2007.
