Ilya Salkind, the man who brought Christopher Reeve to the big screen in the ’70s with the original Superman movies, has been discovered alive in a Mexican hospital after he disappeared for several days. Â He told friends he was going out to run some errands and then simply never came back, prompting much concern that he might turn up dead somewhere.
The good news is, he’s going to be fine, but it’s still a mystery as to exactly what happened. Â Salkind has bruises on his body and his daughter says she believes he was kidnapped and attacked. Â The police are investigating the disappearance, but Salkind himself is still under heavy sedation and cannot yet tell his side of the story.
