Jake Gyllenhaal had the honor of presenting Portman with her award, and in his presentation speech he called her “the Audrey Hepburn of our generation.”  Those are some pretty strong words, and I think it remains to be seen whether Portman will actually live up to them.  I like her, but I don’t think she’s quite up to Hepburn caliber just yet.

Neither Taylor’s nor Jake’s reps have commented on the split, but it’s pretty clear that whatever they had going, they quickly decided wasn’t working.  Some sources have even said that they broke up right after Thanksgiving, so maybe something went wrong during that supposedly romantic weekend.

Here’s Jake Gyllenhaall shirtless on the set of his upcoming (but pushed back to 2010) movie Prince Of Persia; The Sands Of Time. Jakey’s obviously been hitting the gym, and has possibly been up in the ‘roids! Jake’s also gotten hairier, OR he’s wearing a bad Hannah Montana wig. What Snarkista wants to know is:
