Hangover 2 role being passed around

Remember the Mel Gibson role in Hangover 2 that was taken from him and given to Liam Neeson?  The cast of the film refused to work with Gibson, but it seems like Neeson hasn’t really worked out, either.  The director of the film wasn’t happy with the way Neeson’s scenes turned out, but the actor was not available for a reshoot because he’s now busy filming another project.

So the role had to be given to another actor… Nick Cassavetes.  If this doesn’t work out, then who knows who will get it next – Javier Bardem is a bit young, but he could make it work in a pinch.

Javier Bardem gets a baby and an Oscar nod in the same day

Javier Bardem is probably happy about his surprise Oscar nomination this week, but that takes a back seat to the excitement of welcoming his first child on the exact same day.  Penelope Cruz, Bardem’s wife, gave birth at Cedars-Sinai this week, and the baby is said to be healthy.

The couple are being particularly secretive about announcing the name and the gender of the child, but considering their history, it’s hardly surprising – when Cruz and Bardem began dating in 2007, they didn’t even tell anyone, and the first news that came out was after their secret wedding in July of last year.  At this rate, we can expect more news about their baby sometime in 2014.

There seems to be another celebrity baby craze happening at the moment, and the latest participants to catch the baby-rabies are actors Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem.  Cruz has confirmed through a representative that she is indeed 4.5 months pregnant, which finally lays to rest the rumors that had already been floating around for some time.

It’ll be interesting to see how this issue is handled in the next Pirates of the Caribbean movie, as Cruz has been pregnant during the filming, and according to some sources, is already noticeably showing.  On the other hand, I suppose any special effects are possible these days – if they can make Sigourney Weaver look eight feet tall and blue, I guess they can probably make Penelope Cruz look un-pregnant.

Woody Allen Seems A Bit Desperate

Scarlett Johansson is co-starring in Woody Allen’s upcoming “Vicky Cristina Barcelona” with Penelope Cruz and Javier Bardem. Snarkista thinks Woody’s worried about the film’s box office, and has forced poor Scarlett into this idiotic contest! The look on her face says it all: “You’re effin’ kidding me, you ancient freak. I am NOT your stepdaughter.” Don’t ya know she’s SO looking forward to THIS impending threesome? Snarkista knows Scarlett is Woody’s muse, but muses deserve better than this. Pimp.
