It seems like Jennifer Garner has been pregnant FOREVER, but yesterday she finally popped! Jennifer and husband Ben Affleck have welcomed their second daughter, a sister to their adorable little Violet, age 3.
The actress’s rep says: “Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck gave birth to a healthy baby girl.” The baby was born Tuesday in Los Angeles. Just days before giving birth, Garner was spotted with Violet at the Farmer’s Market in Pacific Palisades and grabbing a decaf coffee at Caffe Luxxe in Santa Monica with a girlfriend.
Jennifer’s former Alias costar and close friend Victor Garber says the actress needs no help in the mommy department. He told People Magazine that “It’s her second child. She knows what to do. She’s probably the best mother I’ve ever witnessed.”
Jennifer has kept a lower profile in Hollywood since becoming a mother, and has focused her time on her family. She and Ben were quite sensible in naming their first child, managing to avoid Hollywood’s horrid trend of crazy baby names…who’s latest contributor was Rebecca Romijn’s names for her twins a few days ago: Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip. Congratulations to Jennifer, Ben and Violet…PLEASE give that little girl a normal name!
This is no real shocker to anyone who’s been keeping an eye on Jennifer Garner’s ever-expanding waistline, but not until now has Jennifer affirmed the fact that she’s pregnant with baby number 2!
