On American Idol Wednesday night, contestant Jermaine Jones was eliminated after it was discovered he had not disclosed a lengthy history of trouble with the law. The 25-year-old vocal coach was thrown out of American Idol after it was revealed he currently has outstanding warrants back home in New Jersey stemming from several alleged criminal run-ins with the police.
Jermaine Jones barely made it into the American Idol finalists in the first place. He was originally eliminated from the top 12 finalists, but brought back on to make it a top 13 when the judges Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson regretted cutting the soulful singer.
