Everyone was shocked the week Jessica Sanchez fell into the bottom two and would have been eliminated if the judges hadn’t used their own save of the season to dramatically keep her from being booted off American Idol 2012. Yet, before that she was considered the leading favorite to win and after that week, she has never fallen out of favor again. A strange fluke? Her fans thought she would be safe that week and gave their votes to their second favorite? A wild conspiracy by the American Idol 2012 producers to garner some sympathy for their ‘favorite’?
