Jon Gosselin Apologizes to Kate Gosselin for Affairs

Speaking at the West Side Jewish Center in New York on Sunday, Jon Gosselin apologized to estranged wife Kate Gosselin for “openly having relationships in the public eye” while they were still married. Interesting how he said “relationships” when he’s only publicly aknowledged one relationship – his ongoing affair with party girl Hailey Glassman.

“That was a huge mistake, because if [Kate] would’ve done that to me, I would have been extremely pissed off. Not because our relationship is over, it’s almost like a stab in the back,” the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star said. “And now that I think about it, it was a very wrong thing to do. I definitely regret it.”

Jon Gosselin seems to be taking the advice of his new spiritual adviser, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, in admitting to his mistakes in how he has treated Kate Gosselin and his girlfriend Hailey Glassman.

“I don’t want another failure in my relationships. I don’t want to make the same mistakes I made with Kate, with Hailey. I would just be repeating the pattern over again,” Gosselin said. Regarding Glassman’s statements on The Insider last week calling him “emotionally abusive,” Gosselin said he has to be “accountable for my actions. Maybe she used the wrong terminology, but she’s 22, that’s what she knew. Those are the words and that’s how she felt.”

While Jon Gosselin did not confirm an official break up with Hailey Glassman, he did release a statement to Entertainment Tonight on Sunday saying the two had agreed to take some time off and “focus on each of our individual lives.”

“It is important to me to go back to Pennsylvania and be with my children and get through this divorce and decide what I truly want out of life,” the statement read.

Jon Gosselin Rabbi Advises He Dump Hailey Glassman

Former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star Jon Gosselin has been advised by his new spiritual consultant, Rabbi Shmuley Boteach, to dump girlfriend Hailey Glassman. In interview with The Insider last week, Glassman said she has been “emotionally abused” by Jon Gosselin and sick of being the victim of his “mantrums”.

Reality TV dad Jon Gosselin told UsMagazine.com last week he was “carried away by the challenges of fame” and wants to “reconnect with my deeper, more spiritual, more altruistic self.” As part of his spiritual revamp, Gosselin – who is half Jewish – has been consulting with Rabbi Shmuley Boteach. As part of his spiritual counseling, Gosselin agreed to speak at a forum at New York’s West Side Synagogue on Sunday. “I wish for the public to know my regret at having, at times, betrayed the moral principles that have always guided me,” Gosselin said.

In addition to study sessions and counseling, Rabbi Boteach also wants Jon Gosselin to break up with girlfriend Hailey Glassman. “I have advised him to end it with Hailey,” Shmuley told the New York Post. “It is unacceptable to be in a relationship with he is still married and has to take care of kids who are hurting. It is not a healthy relationship.”  Rumor has it Gosselin may use the forum to publicly acknowledge his split from Glassman.

As for Hailey Glassman, she took to her Twitter feed to thank those who have supported her decision to speak bluntly about her relationship with Jon Gosselin on The Insider. “I just want to thank everyone for their support,” Glassman Tweeted. “I was brutally honest and put everything out on the table infront [sic] of the entire world.”

Kate Gosselin Admits to Meltdown on The View

Kate Gosselin may have been appearing on The View on Monday as a guest host, but it wasn’t long before the topic turned to her own personal drama with estranged husband Jon Gosselin. After dishing on Kanye West‘s rude behavior on the VMAs Sunday and Serena Williams‘ outburst at the US Open, Kate Gosselin admitted to her own loss of control over the weekend.

When asked by The View co-host Sherri Shepherd how she felt about Jon Gosselin’s relationship with 22-year-old girlfriend Hailey Glassman, Kate Gosselin said: “This is definitely, I’m not going to lie, difficult… The truth, for the sake of my children, I’m going to take the high road.” Gosselin refused to discuss her drama with her soon-to-be ex-husband further, but did admit she had “a meltdown” in the privacy of her own home over the weekend.

Regarding those who think the Gosselins should just ditch Jon & Kate Plus 8 and focus on trying to live normal lives, Kate Gosselin said the show must go on. “I’m a single mom and I need a paycheck,” Gosselin said on The View. “Let’s face it, I have to support my children.”

Meanwhile, Jon Gosselin was spotted out and about having a grand time hopping after parties following the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday. Interestingly, Jon was partying it up all night without girlfriend Hailey Glassman.
