According to a statement from Samantha Burke’s legal rep to TMZ.com, the actress has confirmed she is expecting Jude Law’s baby in the fall. Law allegedly had a short fling with Burke during the filming of Guy Ritchie’s Sherlock Holmes last winter in New York. A report in the London Evening Standard says Burke was “in shock” when she found out she was pregnant. Although she was allegedly “terrified” to tell Law about his impending fatherhood, Burke’s reps say that Law has “been nothing but responsive and supportive of Ms. Burke and the pregnancy.”

Although Burke is referred to in most reports as a model/actress, she’s actually not really much of either. Her modeling/acting credits are virtually non-existent. And hell, she doesn’t even have a Wikipedia page. Ms. Burke’s modeling portfolio at the rather racy ModelMayhem.com was removed just hours after her name hit the press, although you can still find a quote from her gushing about a newbie photographer on the site here. Getting knocked up by a multimillion dollar actor like Jude Law is probably the best thing that’s ever happened to her.

Not only is Samantha Burke now suddenly more famous than she’s ever been in her life, but she’ll no doubt be swimming in payoff dough shortly. Burke is reportedly on the hunt for a hefty amount of child support from Mr. Law.
