Kate Gosselin Rejects Jon Gosselin Advice to Get a Normal Life

Despite advice from ex-husband Jon Gosselin to get “back to a normal life,” Kate Gosselin says the cancellation of her reality show, Kate Plus 8, won’t keep her off TV. In an interview with Matt Laeur on Today, Kate Gosselin said she plans on “continuing in TV as a way to provide for my kids.”

When Kate Gosselin learned that TLC had cancelled Kate Plus 8, she told People that she was “freaking out” about how she would support her eight kids. Ex-husband Jon Gosselin, speaking to RumorFix.com, suggested she focus on getting “back to a normal life — a simple life,” expressing his opinion that “reality TV is not a career.”

Kate Gosselin totally dismissed her ex-husband’s advice. “Jon may be acceptive of mediocre for his kids,” she told Matt Laeur. “I want the best for my kids.” So, well, apparently if you are not having cameras following around your children and surrounding them with nannies and ‘handlers’ while you jet off for publicity appearances, you are giving your children only a “mediocre” life.

According to Kate Gosselin, her fans are simply “devastated” that they won’t get to watch her whine about how difficult everything in the universe is while flipping around her chemically abused blond hair and yelling at her eight kids and endless assistant/nannies/children wranglers.

Kate Gosselin hinted big time that she would be quite willing to sign on to another reality TV show. “If the right thing came along, I think we all are still in agreeance with it. I’m sure you will see my kids again at some point,” she said.

Meanwhile, poor Kate is beside herself about how she’ll keep up the lavish lifestyle and crazed traveling to which she has become accustomed. “There’s also fear because this has been, although maybe not my career, has been the start essentially of my career and my job and the way I’ve been providing for my kids for six years. And so, you know, it is a little scary,” she said.

Jon Gosselin Glad Kate Plus 8 Cancelled – Kate Gosselin Scared

Jon Gosselin, ex-husband to Kate Gosselin and father of the Gosselin horde, is glad TLC has cancelled Kate Plus 8, the reality show featuring his ex-wife and children.  Jon Gosselin says he is “very relieved” that his eight kids will no longer be in front of the cameras.

“I hope they can have more private family moments,” Jon Gosselin told RadarOnline.com.  “I hope that this will bring more privacy to my children and that they can get the proper attention they need for any personal issues they might have in the future.” Gosselin said he learned of the Kate Plus 8 cancellation news from a press release.

Kate Gosselin, meanwhile, is not at all happy about having Kate Plus 8 cancelled. Not long ago, Kate Gosselin had been gushing about how it would be cool to see the show follow her eight children all the way through high school.

On her Twitter feed, Kate Gosselin expressed her concern about supporting her eight kids financially with the show cancelled. “One mom and 8 kids = scary!!!! But I’ll make it happen.. Lotsa prayer and hard work as always.” Gosselin told one follower: “I plan on staying on tv 🙂 but if I have to to provide for my 8 lovelies, of course!”

“I wish I didn’t have to say it was so, my faithful followers,” Kate Gosselin told her fans of the cancellation on Twitter. “Thx for adventuring with us for SIX years! We love you!”

Jon Gosselin, who shares joint custody with ex-wife Kate Gosselin of the couple’s eight children, told RadarOnline.com he hopes the show being cancelled will lead Kate to ‘dedicate more time to the kids.’ Gosselin is currently living in a Pennsyvania apartment near his ex-wife and children with his girlfriend, Ellen Ross.

Kate Gosselin has expressed that she is ready to start dating again too, but so far doesn’t seem to have any takers…

Alaskan camping not Kate Gosselin’s cup of tea

Sarah Palin’s Alaska is not something I’d normally tune in to watch, but when Kate Gosselin shows up, you know there’s bound to be ridiculous drama there, so I made an exception.  I wasn’t disappointed!  Gosselin made a complete fool of herself right from the beginning, agreeing to the camping trip knowing that it was in Alaska, and then complaining the entire time that it was… a camping trip in Alaska.

She whined that her toes were cold, she whined about being bitten by bugs, she whined about the lack of paper towels, and then in true Gosselin style, she gave up even before the day was out and took the kids back to the airport, despite the fact that everyone aside from Kate was having a great time.  For someone who really needs to improve her public image, she’s heading completely in the opposite direction.

Jon Gosselin Fires Attorney, Working Things Out with Kate

Jon Gosselin claims his lawyer lied when he said the former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star was trying to wrangle custody of his eight children away from ex-wife Kate Gosselin. The former reality TV dad has reportedly fired attorney Anthony List Sr. and wants to work things out ‘amicably’ with Kate.

Jon Gosselin’s former attorney allegedly told TMZ.com recently that his client wanted primary custody of his kids because Kate Gosselin was an “absentee mom.” Gosselin says Anthony List Sr. went forward with legal filings for custody of the kids without his permission.

“I never wanted primary custody, he [List] filed for that,” Gosselin told TMZ.com on Thursday. “I only wanted a more flexible custody schedule so I could be with my kids.”

Gosselin posted a message to his Twitter account saying he had fired List on April 15. “He has no legal right to speak to the press or anyone on my behalf,” Gosselin Tweeted. Despite rumors of a heated custody battle between them, Jon Gosselin says he and Kate Gosselin are “moving to work out things privately and amicably.”

Gosselin’s former attorney, however, claims he had permission to file for primary custody. “Jon signed off on everything,” List told TMZ.com.

Jon and Kate Gosselin are due in court May 25 for a custody hearing. We hope these two really can put aside their differences for the sake of their kids and stop battling out their crap in the media.

Dancing With the Stars Elimination: Kate Gosselin Finally Out!

Kate Gosselin and Tony Dovolani finally got sacked on Tuesday night’s Dancing With the Stars elimination. We’re just shocked they managed to stick around this long. There have been some really terrible contestants on DWTS, but in our opinion, Kate Gosselin is just about the worst dancer we’ve ever had the displeasure to watch. So we were not, in any way, sad to see her go. She, on the other hand, was downright devestated – or at least faked it really well.

“Well, you know, it is what it is,” Kate Gosselin told Dancing With the Stars co-host Brooke Burke after landing in the bottom two this week with Pamela Anderson and Damian Whitewood. (And what was that about voters?) When she learned she had been voted off, Kate Gosselin lost her shit and couldn’t even speak. It was actually the most emotion she’s shown on her face throughout the whole competition, which was a huge part of her problem.

“I’m very proud of Kate, because I know she gets a lot of criticism out there and it is difficult — especially knowing my wife is watching with three kids — [Kate] has eight kids, and she’s a single mom, so I give her all the credit in the world for showing up,” Tony Dovolani said.

After choking down most her tears, Gosselin said she was thankful for the opportunity given to her by DWTS. “I’m very, very honored to have been here. I love everyone that I met. It was a great experience, and I’m sorry I’m crying. I’m a crybaby!”

Yes, Kate, we kind of knew that already. Now go home and spend some real quality time with your kids before your next damn TV gig leaves them at home for endless hours in the hands of your expensive nannies while you jet off to god knows where.

Kate Gosselin Depressed Over Dancing With the Stars Criticism

Poor, pitiful Kate Gosselin. The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 reality TV mom is apparently taking the criticism of the Dancing With the Stars judges quite hard. Gosselin was picked apart by the judges yet again Monday night after her lackluster dance performance and it seems all the negativity about her dancing skills is getting her down.

Kate Gosselin got creamed by the judges yet again after her fox trot Monday night, scoring a sad 15 for her routine with partner Tony Dovolani. We kind of love that judge Bruno Tonioli told Dovolani he would be better off dancing with “a coat hanger.” Harsh!

“I had fun, and they didn’t seem to notice,” Kate Gosselin told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s starting to creep in a little bit. Tonight, I was trying to hold back horrible emotions… probably not on live TV should I be standing there crying in front of the judges… It’s getting a little difficult. I’m depressed, sort of.”

Frankly we’d probably be a bit depressed if we were embarrassing ourselves on national television the same way Kate Gosselin is on Dancing With the Stars. Although we do have to give her a little bit of props for actually managing to smile while dancing at the same time this week! That has to be super hard!

Kate Gosselin Says Dancing With the Stars Not More Important than Kids

Appearing on NBC’s Today show on Tuesday, Kate Gosselin said being a single mom has left her with no choice but to take gigs like Dancing With the Stars. Gosselin said she is not choosing fame over her kids, but she “has to provide” somehow for her eight children.

“I’ve got to work harder now than ever because I am a single mom,” Kate Gosselin said on the Today show. “In my heart, I’m always in my kitchen, baking and cooking for my kids, and I’ll always be there,” Gosselin said. “It’s a struggle to be here [in New York], to be anywhere… The emotion that you see is because I would rather be at home with them.”

“It’s a struggle that every working mom, especially single moms, go through, and I’m really feeling it now, and it’s really hard,” Gosselin added.

In addition to appearing on Dancing With the Stars, Kate Gosselin is also practicing constantly with partner Tony Dovolani at home in her basement and promoting her new book, I Just Want You to Know. Gosselin says that she does everything she can to make time for her kids when she is not working.

“I am on the first flight as soon as the show lets me out, and that’s my night of sleep. I get home, and I dance, and I am done by the time they get home from school, and I spend the rest of the week with them,” she said. “But I make the most of every minute I have with them… When I’m home, we make those little spots of time really big in our memories.”

Kate Gosselin and ex-husband Jon Gosselin are due in court May 25 for a custody hearing on the former couple’s eight children. Jon Gosselin has filed a motion seeking primary custody of the kids, calling his ex-wife an “absentee mom.”
