Kate Middleton pregnancy fashion includes $55 TopShop dress. Kate Middleton is Lovestruck — by a dress! The pregnant Duchess of Cambridge did a little maternity shopping this week at a London TopShop, where she picked up a sweet flowered frock by U.K.-based clothing concession Lovestruck, a rep for the company confirms exclusively to Us Weekly.
Middleton, 31, who is expecting her first child with Prince William in July of this year, purchased the brand’s Deirdre dress, a delicate spring sheath with a mandarin collar, a cross-over neckline, and a elasticized waist — to accomodate the first-time mom-to-be’s growing baby bump! The price tag for such stylish garb? A very affordable 37 pounds, or $55. Continue reading Kate Middleton Pregnancy Fashion Includes $55 TopShop Dress
It was by far the most ridiculous thing that anyone wore to the royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, but all’s well that ends well, right? Â The hat that Princess Beatrice wore was sold on eBay earlier this week, and ended up bringing in a final winning bid of $131,000 for charity.
Some of the money will go to UNICEF UK, which is a charity that works worldwide to give underprivileged children access to health care and education. Â Another beneficiary, Children in Crisis, helps finance educations for children who would otherwise be doomed to a life of poverty. Â So the hat was good for something after all!
His daughter just married the future King of England, but Michael Middleton still understands that the lawn won’t mow itself. Â The Middletons seem to have come back down to earth after the euphoria of the wedding, and are now dealing with the reality of the weeding.
Michael was seen this morning mowing the lawn and doing some gardening maintenance, as if he hadn’t been riding around in a Rolls just three days ago. Â Pippa, Kate’s sister, may be headed for a new job as Kate’s lady-in-waiting. Â The Middletons, who run an online business, have just started advertising for a new employee, prompting speculation that Pippa will be leaving the business soon for an assisting role in her sister’s new hectic life.
Kate Middleton might have to pay the price for royal paranoia about messy divorces, as her fiancé, Prince William, is being told by his advisors that he and Middleton should sign a prenuptial agreement in order to protect the royal assets.  Middleton’s family is not poor by any means, but what they have pales in comparison to what Middleton might stand to walk away with if she and William ever split.
The biggest concern is that when Queen Elizabeth dies, she will be leaving a major portion of her nearly half-billion dollar net worth to her eldest grandson, and if he and his wife divorce and there is no prenup in place, a lot of that money could end up in the hands of the Middletons. Â There is no word yet on whether William will take the advice and get the agreement drawn up.
The invitations for Prince William and Kate Middleton‘s wedding are starting to roll out, and the big news seems to be that David and Victoria Beckham have both been invited (though, apparently, not their sons).
David had mentioned a couple of months ago that he’d love to be invited, and there’s no word as to whether or not that little piece of information managed to get back to the palace, but no matter whether or not the message got through, it’s a happy ending for the Beckhams. Â So now, of course, everyone will be waiting to see what Victoria decides to wear, and hoping that she doesn’t try to steal the show from the bride.
I don’t think anyone would ever confuse comedienne and talk show host Ellen DeGeneres for royalty, but it turns out she’s distantly related to the woman who will one day be the Queen of England. Kate Middleton, fiancée of Prince William, is Ellen’s 15th cousin.
The news came via a letter from the New England Genealogical Society, in which Ellen was informed that although the relationship between her and the Middletons is distant, it’s there nonetheless. Â Ellen, of course, joked about being invited to the wedding, but somehow I don’t see it happening. Â Being 15th cousins does not exactly make her and Kate besties.
Barbara Walters has announced nine of her “Ten Most Fascinating People” for 2010, and the names on it, with a couple of exceptions, are enough to make you wonder if Walters has succumbed to a sudden bout of dementia.
Kate Middleton made the list, simply for saying yes to a wedding proposal after eight years of stalling.  Yes, fascinating.  Sarah Palin made the list, too, but perhaps it could be argued that she’s fascinating in the same way that a train wreck is.  Jennifer Lopez is also included – seriously?  And of course, there’s Bieber and the cast of Jersey Shore, just to round out the  bewildering choices.  The only person on the list remotely interesting is Betty White, and I might tune in to the Barbara Walters special just to see what White has to say.
