Actress Kate Winslet was awarded $40,000 in damages in a libel suit against UK newspaper The Daily Mail for claiming she lied about her exercise regime. In a judgment handed down on Tuesday, the High Court in London found the Daily Mail guilty of libel and awarded Kate Winslet 25,000 pounds (around $40,000 U.S.) for damages.
