John Travolta Dogs Killed in Tragic Airport Accident

This is just so sad! While it can’t compare to the pain of losing their son Jett last year, John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston are being forced to deal with yet another tragedy in the family after losing two of their beloved pets.

Kelly Preston and John Travolta’s dogs were reportedly killed in a terrible freak accident at the Bangor, Maine airport last week. According to a press statement released by airport director Rebecca Hupp, the two puppies were accidently run over while being walked after a flight.

“At approximately 1 a.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010, an airplane carrying members of the John Travolta family landed at BIA. While there, two small dogs were taken for a walk by someone who is not a family member,” Hupp said in the statement.

“An airport service pickup truck was approaching the airplane to service the plane and did not see the dogs. Unfortunately, the dogs were struck and killed. The airport is investigating the accident. Out of respect for the family’s privacy, the city will make no further comment.”

We would be crushed if anything happened to our ‘babies’ – we know John and Kelly must be heartbroken!

John Travolta Extortion Case Ends in Mistrial

Juror misconduct is at the heart of the ruling by a Bahamian judge to declare a mistrial in the John Travolta extortion case. The ruling came after the judge discovered local politician had announced one of the defendants had been acquitted – before the verdict was read.

Former Bahamian Senator Pleasant Bridgewater and accused accomplice Tarino Lightbourne were on trial for allegedly attempting to blackmail Jon Travolta and wife Kelly Preston. The two allegedly attempted to force Travolta to pay them money to keep quiet about details related to the death of the couple’s son, Jett Travolta.

Closing arguments in the Travolta extortion case ended this morning and jurors were sent out to determine a verdict. Before the jurors could reach a decision, Senior Justice Anita Allen declared a mistrial in the case. Apparently, a local politician announced in a radio and TV speech that defendant Pleasant Bridgewater was “a free woman.” The announcement came before the jury had reached a verdict, prompting the judge in the case to suspect a juror had leaked information to the politician.

“The dilemma that we face is great,” Allen told the court. “I am erring on the side of caution. Justice must be transparent.”

A date has not yet been set for the retrial, but John Travolta plans to continue his campaign against his alleged blackmailers. “Mr. Travolta has and will continue to cooperate with the Bahamian authorities in the prosecution of the defendants for extortion,” a rep for the actor said in a press statement.

John Travolta Tried to Save Son Jett Travolta

John Travolta was forced to relive the last moments of his son Jett Travolta‘s life on Wednesday while testifying in a trial against two people accused of attempting to blackmail the Hollywood star. Jett Travolta, the eldest child of John Travolta and wife Kelly Preston, died after suffering a seizure in the Bahamas in January.

Paramedic Tarino Lightbourne and former Bahamas senator Pleasant Bridgewater are currently on trial on charges of attempting to extort $25 million from John Travolta and his family. They are accused of trying to bribe money from Travolta in exchange for not releasing a document concerning Jett’s treatment after his collapse.

John Travolta originally wanted to take his son to the airport and fly him to the U.S. for medical treatment and signed a form releasing emergency responders from liability. However, Travolta then changed his mind and allowed paramedics to transport his son to a local hospital in the Bahamas. The two defendants allegedly threatened to release the form to the press if Travolta did not pay them, believing the document might damaging to Jett’s parents. Both defendants have declared they are innocent of all wrongdoing.

John Travolta testified on Wednesday that he desperately tried to save his son. “I ran downstairs with my wife to help my son,” Travolta said. Travolta stated he tried to revive Jett by giving him CPR, but it was not effective. Jett Travolta was later officially declared dead at Rand Memorial Hospital on Grand Bahama Island. An autopsy concluded the boy had died of a seizure.

The Travolta Extortion Plot Thickens

john-travolta-jett-travolta3A Bahamas paramedic who was the first to arrive on the scene to treat Jett Travolta on Jan. 2 has been formally charged in the alleged plot to extort money from John Travolta. Ambulance driver Tarino Lightbourne and attorney Pleasant Bridgewater, are accused of attempting to extort $25 million from Travolta. Bridgewater was released on $40,000 bail on Friday; a third person, Obie Wilchombe, a former member of Parliament and ‘friend’ of Travolta’s was questioned but then released. Lightbourne is being held without bail.

Police have confirmed the alleged plot to extort money from the Travoltas included a request for $25 million so that a supposedly “damaging” document would not be made public.

Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Marvin Dames told the Nassau Guardian:

“All I can say here is that, you know, there was a complaint made by Mr. Travolta — and those acting on his behalf — that there was an attempt on behalf of a number of individuals to extort initially some $25 million from the Travoltas. Acting on that complaint we initiated the investigation and it has brought us to this particular point.”

There still is a lot of speculation as to what the alleged extortionists claimed they had in their attempt to bag the huge sum of money from the Travoltas. Some have suggested those involved had pictures of Jett in the moments before and after he died. Dames said this is “incorrect.”

He said the complaint, filed last week, alleges the conspirators approached the Travoltas with a document, that if released, would be damaging to the them. Dames said police have a copy of a document, but they haven’t been able to prove it’s authenticity yet. He did say, however, that the document is a “refusal to transport” document.

A “refusal to transport” is signed by a party when refusing emergency medical services from trained personnel. Signing the document absolves the hospital of liability regarding an incident. Hmmm. Very interesting. Would the Travoltas sign a refusal to transport Jett to the hospital? Were they buying time for some reason?

Bridgewater, Wilchcombe and Lightbourne are all claiming innocence.

“January 23 is a day that will live in my memory as a nightmare,” said Bridgewater in a written statement. “In my capacity as a lawyer, I acted within the bounds of the law and within the bounds of my ethical responsibility to my profession. How these innocent actions can be so misconstrued, so perversely twisted to mean something other than it was, is a mystery. I assure the Bahamian people of my complete and total innocence and I am satisfied that when the full story comes out that I shall be fully vindicated.”

And after his release on Friday, Wilchcombe told The Guardian:

“I was the one who alerted everyone about it, which led to where we are today. I was asked questions and detained for two-and-a-half hours and I was just there giving evidence and answering questions. They questioned me about the initial phone call I would have made to alert the Travolta family of the circumstances of the situation. That was the basis of their discussions with me, but of course it’s an ongoing investigation and there’s not much I can say about it.”

Here we go again with another Bahamian-based celebrity death circus…Anna Nicole Smith 2.0. We’ll see what kind of final “story” comes out in this tragedy.

Memorial Service Planned For Jett Travolta

A memorial service for Jett Travolta will be held tomorrow. The private service, to be be held in Ocala, Florida, will honor the 16-year-old son of John Travolta and Kelly Preston, who died after a seizure in the Bahamas on Friday.

Jett’s parents took an urn with his ashes and left the Bahamas on Monday night, arriving in Florida on Tuesday.

According to the funeral home in the Bahamas which cremated him, Jett’s body showed no signs of head trauma. An autopsy was completed on Monday, and it determined that no foul play was involved. The funeral home leaked the information that the cause of death was seizure. Jett was reportedly not taking medicine for seizure disorder at the time of his death, and authorities said last night that they would be questioning his parents as part of their investigation into Jett’s death.

Jett Travolta: Death By Seizure?

Jett Travolta’s autopsy was done quickly today, and the result listed the cause of as “seizure”. Various professionals are weighing in on both the accuracy and plausibility of the report. First, seizures themselves rarely ever cause death, even grand mal seizures. They may make a person pass out, but they almost never kill someone.

Controversy surrounding Jett’s psychological and physical issues has sparked great public interest in this extremely sad event. Was Jett Autistic, despite the denials of his family? Autistic people often have seizure-disorders, which is the one thing everyone basically CAN agree upon regarding Jett’s health. But Kawasaki Syndrome? Kawasaki doesn’t affect the neurological system, and doesn’t cause seizures. It’s very rare, even rarer in those over 8 years-old, and is almost never fatal. And then there’s the VERY politically-incorrect question…how does Scientology factor into all of this?

Jett’s body was cremated under the supervision of their family doctor immediately following the autopsy today. The Travolta family was not present. Dr. Cyil Wecht, a forensic pathologist, spoke on Larry King Live this evening and called the diagnosis:

“premature because ‘death by seizure’ is NOT a finding that could be visible to the naked eye. No matter how many autopsies a coroner has done, not even if they’ve done 5 million. It can only be determined through the exclusion of other causes, and then verified by looking at closely at slides and toxicology reports, which take days to process. There is nothing of significance to find, anatomically speaking. The only way you can make that diagnosis is if you rule out everything else, including drugs in a toxicology report. If that is the case, that could take a couple of weeks.”

Dr. Wecht said he was also quite surprised at the speed with which the Travolta family disclosed the cause of Jett’s death to the public, though the official autopsy report has not been released. The Scientology cynics among us are not at all surprised. Do not mistake what I am saying…this is a horrible, tragic, sad event. The worst thing in the world is to have to bury your child. But Scientologists are MASTERS of the coverup. We will never know what really happened to poor Jett.

2 years ago, Hollywood, Interrupted: eerily had this story:

A PLEA FROM HOLLYWOOD: JOHN TRAVOLTA – OPEN YOUR HEART! – April 10, 2006

On Friday, April 7th, Hollywood, Interrupted was treated to the Los Angeles premiere of “Normal People Scare Me” – a feature-length documentary about autism, co-directed by the high functioning autistic teenager Taylor Cross and his mother, Keri Bowers. The event was sponsored by an organization called Cure Autism Now (CAN) and the new magazine, The Autism Perspective (TAP).

This enlightening film was produced by b-movie actor/director/producer and former special education teacher, Joey Travolta. Joey’s brother and sister-in-law, “Battlefield Earth” co-stars John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston, were not present. Too bad…

…Had John and Kelly been at the screening, they might have a better understanding of the disorder reportedly affecting their 14 year-old son, Jett. Sadly, the Scientology couple cannot even publicly admit that their son is afflicted with a neurological disorder, lest – according to the incontrovertible doctrine of Scientology founder L Ron Hubbard – he be labeled a “degraded being” that brought his affliction onto himself. Instead, the Travoltas have long blamed their son’s disability on Kawasaki Syndrome-related “environmental toxins,” specifically carpet cleaning chemicals.

Rumors about Jett Travolta’s disability have been floating around for years, but when no less than five sources (including a media rep from the Autism Society of America (ASA), an executive from Cure Autism Now, a major Hollywood producer and parent of an autistic child, and a Hollywood actor-parent) reported that Jett Travolta was afflicted did we decide to deliver this story. Scientology will not even recognize the disability, let alone the myriad therapies for treating it.

The CAN and ASA officials that spoke with Hollywood, Interrupted credited Sylvester Stallone and former pro football greats Doug Flutie and Dan Marino as celebrity parents of children with autism that have helped raise awareness of the malady. These celebs reportedly share their frustration with what they perceive as Travolta’s “denial” stemming from Scientology’s rabid hatred of psychiatry and judgment of those with psychological problems as lesser humans responsible for their own maladies.

The Hollywood actor interviewed describes having autism as “like being trapped within yourself, and having difficulty letting normal people know who you really are.” Now, imagine being trapped inside a mind-control cult that prohibits you from availing your child to the treatment available. No wonder Scientology has long been plagued by suicides, and wrongful deaths.

The movie producer that spoke with Hollywood, Interrupted reports: “Kelly Preston, in her heart, wants to do the right thing for her son.” “I bet it rips her heart out,” says the actor. “But,” says the producer, “John Travolta has so far, done nothing to help raise awareness about autism.”

Tragically, Scientology does nasty things to the heart. “And to the other families who are being torn apart by this disorder,” sighs the actor. “Let me know if I can help you appeal to his heart.” Hollywood, Interrupted believes that you may have done just that.

Such a tragedy, indeed. And another in the LONG line of inexplicable deaths tied closely to Scientology.

“Serious Crimes Unit” In Bahamas Investigating Jett Travolta’s Death

UPDATE 1/4/09:
TMZ is reporting that there’s a conflict brewing between the Bahama PD and John Travolta’s camp regarding the time line of Jett Travolta’s death. People who are with Travolta are bristling at the suggestion Jett might have been left unattended for more than 10 hours, but this morning cops say they are sticking to their story.

Police in the Bahamas are investigating yesterday’s death of John Travolta’s 16 year-old son Jett Travolta through their “Serious Crimes” unit. Jett died yesterday, ostensibly due to a seizure that caused him to hit his head in the bathtub of the Travolta vacation spot on Grand Bahama Island. What is not clear is WHY Jett was alone in the bathtub.

Jett was last seen by anyone the night prior to his death when he went to the bathroom. He wasn’t found until 10:00am yesterday morning. His “nanny” Jeff Michael Kathrein found him. This pic of John and Jeff is from 2006, but maybe it’s why Jeff wasn’t caretaking too well.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, and Jett’s body is to be flown Tuesday to Florida.

Jett had a history of seizures, and, unfortunately, John and wife Kelly Preston are Scientologists. Scientologists shun virtually all forms of medication, and instead use dangerous detox “purification rundown” regimens, potentially toxic high-dose Niacin treatments, “auditing” (the tin-can sham) and other whacky “cures” like “touch assists” for what ails someone. No anti-seizure medicines for Jett, you can be sure of that. Jett was extremely developmentally challenged, and was known not to be able to communicate with words. Most people agree he was autistic, especially people in Ocala, FL. where the family spends much of their time.

John and Kelly refused to admit Jett’s true affliction, choosing instead the obscure “Kawasaki Syndrome” to define Jett’s problems. Any quick study of the syndrome reveals that it was highly unlikely that it was what Jett suffered from.

Is Scientology responsible for this tragedy? Had Jett been taking the proper medications he more than likely would not have suffered a seizure. He would probably still be alive. Instead of being cared for by a proper medical facility, Jett underwent Scientology “sec checks” and “auditing” – neither of which involves the treatment he needed for his disease. The Church and its members freely practice medicine without being licensed.

It is heartbreaking that this young man, obviously dependent on others to care for him, was a victim of the insane doctrines and of the cult of Scientology. Scientologists actively perform the exact same treatments on others who suffer from similar diseases. They are doing it right now, in this country.

For all of the Xenu and alien jokes we make about the members of this cult, Jett’s death highlights the true danger involved for anyone who has been brainwashed into the hands of these money-grabbing idiots. I feel very sad for John, Kelly and Jett’s little sister Ella. Maybe this tragedy will open their eyes, and those of others, to the truth about these horrible people- and Jett’s death won’t be in vain.
