Kerry Campbell, California mother of eight-year-old beauty pageant contestant Britney Campbell, has lost custody of her child after she admitted on national television that she regularly injects her daughter with botox. Â The television interview prompted an investigation by Child Protective services, who decided that Britney should be removed from her mother’s custody for her own safety.
It’s unclear whether the goal is to reunite Britney with her mother eventually, but at the moment CPS is still investigating the extent of the maltreatment claims. Â There is still a possibility that Britney could be returned to her mother and that the mother may not receive any punishment at all, if it turns out the botox was legal.
