The official Breaking Dawn wedding dress replica, designed by Michael Shettel, is inspired by the Carolina Herrera original gown worn by Kristen Stewart in Breaking Dawn during the Bella and Edward wedding scene. The dress and matching shoes retail for approximately $800 and have been officially sanctioned by Summit Entertainment. The original dress was made of silk, but the ‘Twilight Bridal’ replica is made of satin. The dress will be available in sizes from 0 to 30W.

Hererra will also include her version of the gown in her 2012 collection and sell it in her CHNY boutiques next year. No word on how many of those gowns will be produced or how much they will cost.

The Alfred Angelo Breaking Dawn wedding gown replica dress features “a dramatic plunging cut-out illusion back detailed with a soft Chantilly-inspired lace appliqué trim and full-length lace trimmed sleeves, self-fabric-covered buttons and a Chapel train,” according to a press release.

Herrera’s original Breaking Dawn wedding dress design was inspired by the gown worn by Bella Swan in the book. “I was called by Stephenie Meyer. We had to discuss a lot, but I was very inspired by her book and the description of the wedding,” Herrera said at the Breaking Dawn premiere. “I was very flattered I was asked to do it; it’s a big scene for me.”

She didn’t. Instead, she had to sit through hours of prosthetics and makeup application to make her eyes look more sunken and her ears larger. It was a bold move by the studio – to commit to making the main character of a hit movie look – well – grotesque for much of the film. But Stewart was game, saying the prosthetics made her feel like she had a “big, skinny head” for many of the scenes.

Until Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 was released this summer, the last two Twilight movies set records for best midnight performance.  Deathly Hallows earned $43.6 million for its midnight showings, making Breaking Dawn number two in terms of all-time midnight best.

As if you need us to tell you, the film stars Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner.

Each actor took turns saying a few words – some less awkwardly than others – thanking their fans and their franchise. ”This is such an incredible honor,”  Pattison gushed, “how young we are, it’s kind of ridiculous and amazing at the same time.”

After that, each star signed their names in the wet cement and left and hand- and foot-print behind in a section labeled “The Twilight Saga.” And of course, after the ceremony the trio was on hand to sign autographs for hundreds and hundreds of screaming fans.

Stewart compared viewing paparazzi photographs of celebrities to “looking at someone being raped” in the interview. “A lot of the time I can’t handle it,” Stewart said. “It’s f–ked. I never expected this to be my life.”

Now Stewart has come out to issue a public apology for her crass comment. “I really made an enormous mistake – clearly and obviously. And I’m really sorry about my choice of words,” Stewart said in a press statement. “‘Violated’ definitely would have been a better way of expressing the thought. People thinking that I’m insensitive about this subject rips my guts out. I made a big mistake.”

Yeah, we have to agree with you on that one Kristen. And remember, if fame sucks SO badly, you can always do us a huge favor by taking your Twilight millions and retiring into obscurity on some deserted island anytime you like.

We still don’t know if Twilight: Breaking Dawn will eventually be split into two movies, like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, but it’s likely we’ll probably learn that info before much longer. Meanwhile, Twilight fans can go ahead and mark Nov. 18, 2011 on their calendars as the official Breaking Dawn release date.

We are especially curious about how the book conversion for the final installment of the Twilight series will turn out on film for Breaking Dawn. Unlike previous Twilight movies, author Stephenie Meyer will actually be hands-on as a producer for Breaking Dawn. Plus, we’re hoping for very good things out of Oscar-winning director Bill Condon.

Speaking of Meyer, the Twilight author gifted Breaking Dawn actors with a special treat to help them immerse themselves more fully into their characters – advance copies of the new Twilight novella The Brief Second Life of Bree Tanner! For the rest of us, we’ll have to buy our copies or wait to read it free on Meyer’s website June 5th.

The new trailer is all about action and gets close up with the ‘army of vampires’ featured in Eclipse. We’re talking some extremely hot fight scenes here! The 30 second eclipse video also features more footage of Dakota Fanning as Jane, along with the other Volturi lead vampires, and Bryce Dallas Howard as bad vampire girl Victoria.

The third installment of The Twilight Saga film series, starring Robert Pattinson as dreamy, glittery vampire Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart as his eclectic human love Bella, debuts in theaters June 30.

We don’t want to spoil the joy of watching the new Eclipse trailer tease video any longer. It’s just 10 seconds, after all. So, without further ado, check it out for yourself!

Looks like a serious love fest going on in Eclipse, but then we knew that from reading the book, of course! Still, it’s fun to watch all that sexual and sensual tension going on in living color. A report by industry mag Variety says Summit Entertainment is contemplating splitting the final Twilight book into dual films and is ready to put the plan into action. However, director Chris Weitz,  screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg and author Stephenie Meyer have only been contracted for four films in total.

While Rosenberg and Meyer probably won’t mind receiving another hefty payday, Weitz isn’t all aboard the idea of yet another Twilight film. Weitz told Entertainment Weekly last week he might be interested in doing another Twilight film, but said “I just think I would die” if faced with another New Moon-like PR blitz tour.

To add on another film out of Breaking Dawn, Summit would also have to work out new contracts with the Twilight stars, including Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart. Considering the huge haul New Moon has made in ticket sales so far, that could be quite a pricey negotiation.

Breaking Dawn is such a hefty, complex book, it might not be a bad idea to spit it into two films. The question is whether the Twilight frenzy among fans can be maintained long enough to play out through five movies.

The story of a Southern woman who adopts a homeless youth and supports him pursuing his athletic dreams was a major hit at the box office, raking in $40.1 million. Just a few million more and The Blind Side would have pulled off a major coup at the box office.

The end of the world disaster film 2012 rounded out the top three films, with Old Dogs and A Christmas Carol finishing off the top three. The much hyped action flick Ninja Assassin failed to even break the top five, recouping only $13.1 million of the film’s $40 million budget so far.

The question is, can New Moon hold on for yet another week in the number one spot? Should be interesting to see how next week’s list pans out.
