Last year it was Jennifer Aniston who got in trouble for using the word “retard” in an interview, and now it’s Lady Gaga‘s turn. Â When asked in a recent interview whether she thought her songs and her persona in general were too reminiscent of Madonna, Gaga flew into a rage and called the recent allegations of plagiarism “retarded.”
She went on to say that there is nothing derivative about her music, and that as a songwriter she prides herself on her originality. Â Gaga claims that it is ridiculous to compare anything she has ever done to anything Madonna has ever done. Â Now, of course, no one cares about the originality thing anymore – they just want to know if she’s going to apologize for saying “retarded.”
