Hulk Hogan Divorce Nearly Drove Him to Suicide

Writing in his new book, My Life Outside the Ring, Hulk Hogan said he was nearly driven to suicide over his divorce from ex-wife Linda Hogan and the horrific car accident of his son Nick Bollea.

Hogan said he was so distraught over the end of his marriage and his son’s car accident that he nearly committed suicide. Hogan’s son, Nick Bollea, was convicted for reckless driving and received eight months in jail over an accident earlier this year that resulted in the permanent incapacitation of his passenger, 22-year-old John Graziano. Bollea was released early from prison on October 21 for good behavior and now lives with his mother.

Linda Hogan filed for divorce from Hulk Hogan in 2007 over an alleged affair the former wrestler had with Christiane Plante, a friend of their daughter, Brooke Hogan. Shortly after the divorce filing, Hogan claims he nearly killed himself in depression. Hogan says he found himself taking Xanax pills and drinking, while holding a loaded gun.

“I could feel the life draining out me,” Hogan writes in My Life Outside the Ring. “It had me curling my index finger on the trigger of a loaded handgun and putting it my mouth… Obviously I didn’t kill myself, but I came damn close.”

Hogan said a phone call from American Gladiators co-host, Laila Ali, brought him out of his depression and helped him on the road to recovery. “She called with no agenda, just to say hi and check on me,” Hogan said. “It snapped me out of it. At that moment I switched gears. I got sick and tired of being sick and tired. Her voice saved my life, it really did.”

Hogan appeared on the Today Show on Tuesday to promote his new book and discuss his depression and recovery.

Nadya Suleman, better known as the Octomom, has the green light to financially exploit her 14 children in a new reality show. On Monday, a California judge approved the $250,000 deal on the condition a financial guardian is appointed to keep an eye on the kids’ earnings and ensure no labor laws are violated. Because forcing 14 children to have their private lives invaded for their mom’s profit is certainly violation enough.

Joe Jonas and actress girlfriend Camilla Belle have officially broken up, a rep for Belle told Access Hollywood. No cheating or other nastiness was supposedly involved and the two reportedly remain on good terms. We’re pretty sure Joe won’t have to be lonely for long. After all, the Jonas Brothers are currently on tour – there are sure to be plenty of screaming groupies to go around for all.

Troubled actress Mischa Barton is ready to go back to work after spending some time in the hospital for an ‘undisclosed’ condition. Barton will reportedly return to work at her new gig on the TV series The Beautiful Life on Friday. Hopefully Barton will be spending a lot of time in the makeup chair covering up how totally wasted she looks with her ‘undisclosed’ condition. Then again, she is playing a drug-addicted model on the show, so maybe they should just let her go au natural.

In a hilarious and somewhat scary moment of fan insanity at Comic-Con this week, a crazed Megan Fox devotee attempted to persuade the Hollywood hottie to star in his own private sex tape. Fox was promoting her upcoming film Jonah Hex when the freakish fan gushed that he had just graduated film school and would she like to help him out by starring in a celebrity sex tape? Unsurprisingly, the fan was quickly seized and booted out of Comic-Con on his ass by security. Honestly, if Fox was going to do a celebrity sex tape, we’re thinking she has a lot better choices for co-stars than a Comic-Con geek fan boy.

It might just be love for The Bachelorette star Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski. Harris accepted a marriage proposal from technology consultant Swiderski on the finale of The Bachelorette on Monday. Are Jillian Harris and Ed Swiderski still together? Fans will have to wait until Tuesday night’s The Bachelorette: After the Final Rose special to hopefully find out if the couple stuck it out.

And for a last few tidbits…

23-year-old Daniel Bark has been charged with vehicular homicide in the hit-and-run death of former American Idol contestant Alexis Cohen.

Hulk Hogan is now a free man. Hogan and former wife Linda Bollea finally hashed out the last details of their divorce settlement. Details are not being released to the public.

Charlie’s Angels star Farrah Fawcett left druggie son Redmond a three million inheritance on her death. But the funds will be strictly controlled through a monthly allowance in hopes Redmond will actually take the chance to clean up his life once he eventually gets out of jail.

Ex wrestler and reality tv fame-seeker Hulk Hogan told Rolling Stone that he “understood OJ Simpson” and considered killing his wife Linda! He says he “took the high road by not slitting Linda’s throat.” LAY OFF THE STEROIDS, Braniac! Hulk and Linda are embroiled in a nasty divorce, and now Linda is considering adding criminal complaints to the mix.

Linda says Hulk has been unfaithful for years, and that he has been violent. After their split, both Linda and Hulk hooked up with lovers – both friends of their children- who were barely out of high-school. Classy!

So, one of the ugliest divorces in Hollywood continues: Linda wants half of Hulk’s 10 million dollar estate AND half of all his future earnings! The battle is sure to get juicier. Snarkista doubts the judge will look kindly on Hulk’s confessions to Rolling Stone.

Big Brooke Hogan + Stripper Pole = FAIL

Big Brooke Hogan performed at the Calle Ocho carnival in South Miami, Florida yesterday, looking exactly like her mom Linda. Except we haven’t been subjected to pics of Linda pole-dancing. Yet. Brooke thought it might be sexy if she tried an impromptu pole dance for the crowd, which included her cheering DAD, Hulk Hogan. Gross.

Brooke, as you can clearly see, is not aerodynamically correct for stripper-pole dancing. She clearly IS making an ass of herself. It’s gonna take awhile for those carnival attendees to get THESE images out of their heads!

Linda Hogan has revealed what we all pretty much figured out already…that the end of her 24-year marriage to Hulk Hogan was caused by his affair with daughter Brooke’s best friend, Christiane Plante. Christiane enabled Linda in revealing this factoid by blabbing to the National Enquirer. She was the last of many affairs Hulk reportedly had during the marriage.
Linda’s rep said:

“When Linda discovered Hulk had an affair with Brooke’s best friend, Christiane Plante, she made the decision to call it quits on the marriage. Hulk Hogan is saying anything he can conjure up to make Linda look bad in the media. Hulk has even implies that the VH1 hit show, Hogan Knows Best, was the cause of split in his marriage. Almost every statement that comes out of Hulk’s mouth is a diversionary tactic to deflect attention away from the real reason Linda filed for divorce, two words: HULK’S CHEATING!”

Hulk, whose real name is Terry Bollea, is mum on Linda’s charges. Since Linda filed for divorce in January she’s been dating Charlie Hill, 19, who was a schoolmate of son Speed Racer Nick. Well THAT sure showed him, Linda. Horf.

Brooke Hogan Puts The “Funk” In Miami’s Funkshion Fashion Week

Behold Big Brooke Hogan at the Bejeweled show Thursday night at Miami’s Funkshion Fashion Week. Brooke is about to cry because she thought she was going to a Bedazzler show to stock up on some fake bling. Reading is hard! Almost as hard as 20 year-old Brooke looks these days.

Snarkista thought this was Brooke’s mom Linda at first. It’s an honest mistake! Linda dates 19 year-old boys too! At least Brooke got the “Funk” part right. We can almost smell her Hulky sweat from here. Horf!
