The Lost finale was originally scheduled as a two hour event, but it looks like ABC thought that just wasn’t enough to close out the epic series! The Lost series finale has now been extended into a two night farewell extravaganza.

ABC originally planned on airing a two hour recap and then a two hour Lost final episode on May 23. Now the network has extended the Lost finale across two nights. In addition, the actual final episode of lost will now run for 2.5 hours.
The original Lost pilot – with info pop-ups – will air on May 22 to kick off the finale of the series. The following night, a 2 hour Lost ‘retrospective’ special will air at 7 PM. The Lost final episode will screen afterwards from 9 PM to 11:30 PM.
That’s not quite the end, however! Following the local news, a Jimmy Kimmel Live: Aloha to Lost special will air at 12:05 AM for those who haven’t collapsed from Lost fatigue. The special will feature Carton Cuse, Damon Lindelof and various Lost cast members.
All we have to say is if they don’t close out Lost to our satisfaction after all these years, we are burning our Lost DVDs in effigy after the final episode!
