Just when you thought things with Bristol Palin couldn’t get any uglier, she’s taking a new round of fire from celebrities and colleagues alike, and she’s attempting to give as good as she gets. Â Both Kathy Griffin and DWTS co-star Margaret Cho have taken recent punches at Palin, with Griffin calling her “the white Precious,” and Cho accusing Sarah Palin of forcing her daughter to go on the show.
Even DWTS judge Carrie Ann Inaba has gone on the record as saying that one dose of a Palin was enough for the show, and that the controversy Bristol brought is not something they’d likely invite in again. Â Bristol’s response? Â Well, she’s only responded to Margaret Cho so far, and the most clever thing she could come up with was a gay joke. Â Wow. Â You stay classy, Bristol!
Her name wasn’t Lola, and she’s no longer a show girl – comedienne Margaret Cho and her partner Louis van Amstel were eliminated from the competition on Dancing with the Stars last night. Â They danced the samba to “Copacabana” by Barry Manilow, and frankly, the judges were not impressed – the couple scored only 18 points out of a possible 30, the lowest score of the night. Â Cho burst into tears when she learned that she and van Amstel did not earn enough votes to make it to next week, but she recovered with a couple of jokes about being a “real dancer” and then made her graceful exit. Â What was to blame for their failure? Â Probably Cho’s schedule, as she was doing her comedy tour at the same time as trying to rehearse her dance, and it seemed from the clips they showed that it was all a little too demanding on her time.
