Rumor has been going around that former Ghost Whisperer star Jennifer Love Hewitt was in line to take over from Mariska Hargitay on Law & Order: SVU as the female lead. Hargitay will be reducing her role significantly midseason and star Christopher Meloni has announced he will not be coming back for another season.
