R&B diva Rihanna has finally confessed Los Angeles Dodgers star Matt Kemp is indeed her boyfriend. Rihanna and Kemp denied they were dating earlier this year, saying they were just friends.
Back in February, both Rihanna and Matt Kemp blew off rumors they were an item after the two were spotted together in Dubai and Mexico. Kemp denied he was with Rihanna, proclaiming that he was “single” and “not dating anyone.” He called Rihanna a “good friend” but insisted there was nothing more to their relationship.
Liar, liar! Well, now Rihanna has let the official cat out of the bag and confirmed the two are hooking up. In an interview on Ryan Seacrest‘s radio show, Rihanna said Kemp is her “boyfriend” but added the relationship is “nothing too serious” yet. “It’s new and it’s fun… I don’t want anything nuts that’s gonna take up so much of my energy and time in a bad way.”
As for whether Matt Kemp will accompany Rihanna on her tour, the sexy singer said he’s a bit too busy to follow her around like a puppy dog. “No,” Rihanna told Ryan Seacrest, “he actually has a job like me.”
Matt Kemp is – as far as we know – the first boyfriend for Rihanna since she broke up with Chris Brown last year. Let’s hope this relationship ends up in a much nicer place than the last one!
