Meghan McCain, daughter of Senator John McCain, has apologized for posting a racy photo of herself on her Twitter feed. The Megan McCain Twitter photo shows the Daily Beast columnist holding a copy of an Andy Warhol biography while displaying her very ample cleavage in a tight tank top.
The Megan McCain Twitter photo quickly made the rounds on the Net and launched a wave of criticism against the former presidential candidate’s daughter. Megan McCain was crushed by the response to what she considered just having a bit of fun.
“So I took a fun picture not thinking anything about what I was wearing but apparently anything other than a pantsuit I am a slut,†McCain wrote. “What once was fun now just seems like a vessel for harassment… when I am alone in my apartment, I wear tank tops and sweat pants, I had no idea this makes me a ‘slut’, I can’t even tell you how hurt I am.â€
Still, McCain apologized to anyone who took the tank top photo the wrong way. “I do want to apologize to anyone that was offended by my twitpic, I have clearly made a huge mistake and am sorry 2 those that are offended.â€
There is a reason why the word “twit” is in both Twitter and Twitpic…
