Great news for Michael Douglas, who has finally spoken out after months of treatment for a stage four cancerous tumor in his throat. Â The actor has reported on the Today show that the treatment was successful and the tumor is completely gone.
Douglas says that he will have to go back once a month for a check-up, possibly for the rest of his life, and that there have been some side effects from radiation therapy, but mostly the prognosis is good. Â He says his appetite is better than ever and he’s already gained 12 pounds, which is great news for his family and his fans alike. Â Even better: he says he’s ready to go back to work!
