Lisa Marie Presley and hubby Michael Lockwood welcomed twin baby girls Tuesday afternoon, October 7th. The fraternal twins weighed 5 pounds, 15 ounces and 5 pounds, 2 ounces. Everyone is happy and healthy and resting at home.
Twins run in Lisa Marie’s family on BOTH sides; Elvis was a twin- he had a brother, Jesse Garon Presley, who died at birth on January 8, 1935. Lisa Marie’s mom Priscilla Presley has twin siblings. Of course it’s all the rage in Hollywood to have twins- Lisa Marie’s now joined the ranks of twin-moms Jennifer Lopez, Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie.
Lisa Marie revealed her pregnancy after some mean articles were written about her weight gain, which suggested she had an oversized appetite. She even sued sued the U.K.‘s Daily Mail in March after the paper published unflattering photos of her. Healthy twins are the best revenge! Let’s just hope she doesn’t name them after fruit.
