Mindy McCready Overdose Report: Mom Overreacted Singer Says

As we reported earlier, country singer Mindy McCready was taken to the hospital Tuesday morning from her mother’s home in Fort Meyers, FL. Early reports suggested McCready may have overdosed on prescription medications. McCready has previously allegedly attempted suicide multiple times.

McCready’s rep reportedly told TMZ.com that his client did not overdose on anything, but just had a bad reaction to a medication. According to Young, McCready’s mother “overreacted” when the singer told her she wasn’t feeling well after taking Darvocet for pain from a broken toe.

“She’s totally coherent,” Young said. “She can’t believe her mom did this.” Young also implied that McCready’s mother may have called 911 as a power play in a custody dispute over the singer’s son. The two are currently embroiled in a custody battle over the boy.

Country Music Singer Mindy McCready Hospitalized in Possible Overdose?

Country music singer Mindy McCready was rushed to the hospital Tuesday morning in Fort Meyers, Florida. Details are still sketchy, but early reportsÂ suggest a possible drug overdose. McCready has allegedly attempted to commit suicide multiple times in the past.

Emergency personnel were reportedly called to the home of McCready’s mother around 10:45 AM on Tuesday. AccordingÂ to WINKNews.com,Â McCready’s mother saidÂ the former country music star was alert and talking when the fire department arrived on scene. McCready wasÂ transported by ambulance to Cape Coral Hospital. Her condition is currently unknown.

Mindy McCready was previously hospitalized in December of 2008 after an alleged suicide attempt. According to police reports, McCready’s brother said she took pills after a drunken night out and slashed her wrists open.

McCready also allegedly attempted to kill herself in July of 2005 after her ex-boyfriend, Billy McKnight, was arrested for attempted murder after beating and choking her. McCready once again allegedly attempted to commit suicide that September by overdosing on antidepressants while pregnant with McKnight’s child.

McCready, who has also appeared on Celebrity Rehab, has recently been embroiled in a battle with porn distributor Vivid Entertainment over a sex tape video allegedly featuring her and a boyfriend. On the tape, McCready reportedly discusses an alleged affair with Red Sox pitcher Roger Clemens.

Mindy McCready Threatens Porn Company Over Baseball Mistress Sex Tape

Country singer and Celebrity Rehab star Mindy McCready is threatening to pursue legal action against porn distributor Vivid Entertainment if they release a sex video featuring her and a boyfriend.

On the sex tape, Mindy McCready dishes in detail about her alleged affair with Red Sox pitcher Roger Clemens and discusses her other celebrity bedmates, including ex-fiancÃ© Dean Cain. Vivid Entertainment plans to release the tape on April 19. A teaser clip of the Mindy McCready video features “some NSFW sex, screaming and traces of nudity,” according to the Huffington Post.

McCready’s lawyer has hit Vivid Entertainment with a cease and desist letter demanding they “destroy” any copies of the tape in their possession. “We can confirm that any illegally- obtained property, and/or fabricated footage, and the release thereof, will be dealt with swiftly following proper legal procedure,” McCready’s lawyer said in a press statement Tuesday.

So far, Vivid Entertainment has no plans to cease and desist putting out Mindy McCready, Baseball Mistress for all the world to see as scheduled.

Eric Dane Claims No Sex with Kari Ann Peniche in Mcsteamy Video

Grey’s Anatomy hunk Eric Dane and wife Rebecca Gayheart are denying they had a three-way sexual escapade with former Miss Teen USA turned Playboy model Kari Ann Peniche. Kari Ann Peniche claimsÂ a video of the three romping in the nudeÂ was stolen by roommate Mindy McCready and was meant to be private.

The scandal over the so-called Mcsteamy sex tape video reached new heights Tuesday morning. The video shows Eric Dane, wife Rebecca Gayheart and Kari Ann Peniche crawling around naked and playing in a bathtub. Gayheart and Dane’s lawyers say the video is “not a sex tape,” however, and was “simply a private, consensual moment involving a married couple… never intended to be seen by the public.” Yeah, we’re guessing they probably weren’t gunning for national exposure of this particular independent film.

“It is a private tape made for only my clients’ personal use, and nobody has the rights to exploit it,” lawyer Marty Singer said in a press statement. Kari Ann Peniche’s manager David Weintraub told Us Weekly the tape was just “guys having fun, hanging out together. There is no sex involved in this.”

The two appeared together on the TV reality show Celebrity Rehab 3. Peniche claims Mindy McCready stole her hard drive when she moved out after an argument. Peniche has also stated through her reps that she did not have sex with Rebecca Gayheart and/or Eric Dane.

Representatives for Dane, Gayheart, Peniche and McCready reportedly met to discuss the rights to the video and determined it belonged to Eric Dane. All seemed resolved about the not-sex tape until the video surfaced on Gawker.com Monday.

Note to celebrities out there. If you film yourself crawling around nude with playmates while calling each other by fake porn names, you are pretty much guaranteed that someday it is going to come back to bite you. Just say no to video!

Troubled country singer Mindy McCready has had a bad couple of years. She continued her downward spiral Wednesday as she for an apparent attempted suicide. Mindy, whose youthful affair with pitcher Roger Clemens came to light in April, was taken to a Nashville-area hospital to be treated for wounds on her wrists. “We responded to a ’10-63,’ that’s a suicidal person call,” Nashville Police Department spokeswoman Kris Mumford said. “Mindy McCready was at the house.”

McCready was hospitalized in 2005 after swallowing a near-fatal dose of pills, chased with wine. In July she overdosed on drugs and alcohol, which sent her to the emergency room at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. She later checked into rehab. In October, McCready spent 31 days in jail for violating the terms of her probation from a 2004 guilty plea for fraudulently obtaining painkillers.

Somebody please commit Mindy and get her the help she needs. Her public troubles with the law, drugs and alcohol are huge cries for assistance. Albeit of her own doing, her life truly mirrors a country song. It’s one of the saddest ever.

Mindy McCready Says She’s Sorry For Roger Clemens Affair

Mindy McCready admits she had an affair with married baseball star Roger Clemens, when she was a teenager, that she has “lived life recklessly” and made a lot of mistakes. Ya think? Jailbird Mindy’s been arrested and jailed for so many crimes you need a map to keep up with them. Literally.
Mindy was spilling her guts after a trip to California to check out reality-show projects. Snarkista can think of quite a few Mindy would be great in. Intervention is the first one that comes to mind! Mindy blabbed to Inside Edition that her affair (denied by Clemens- for obvious statutory rape reasons) ended because she wanted him to leave his wife, Debbie. Mistake, Mindy. In addition to the statutory rape problem, cheaters rarely leave their wives when they’re gettin’ the teenage milk for free on the side.
Mindy backstroked with the New York Daily News saying she “never wanted to marry” Clemens.

“He should have done right by his familyâ€”if a person is unhappy in their marriage and spending all their personal time with someone else, you need to do right by your marriage,” she told the newspaper. “He should have just told Debbie and been honest with her. If he didn’t want to be with her and wanted to be with me, he should have told her.”

Clemens has DE-NIED that anything sexual happened with Mindy at ANY time, (CYA) and, in responding to Mindy’s claims, has only issued a statement acknowledging that he has “made mistakes in his personal life for which he is sorry.”

Mindy DOES say she’s sorry for any pain she caused Roger’s wife Debbie Clemens.

“I have nothing but remorse and nothing but sympathy for what she’s had to go through with this situation, and she has my utmost apology,” she told Inside Edition. And to the Daily News: “I would apologize to her and say I was young. I now know better.”

Mindy may know better about having teenage affairs with married men, but it remains to be seen if she knows better about generally breaking the law! Look for Mindy to appear on a reality show near you…maybe it will be a new one called Addicted To Jail.

Mindy’s been in the pokey because she violated her probation. She falsified her community service records. Snarkista doesn’t have time right now to explain ALL of Mindy’s troubles with the law. You truly need a map and some serious free time.

Mindy puts the dumb in blonde, ‘cuz she’s let everyone know what she’s gonna do as soon as she gets out tomorrow. She wants a Bloody Mary! Now, Mindy’s gotten in trouble with the spirits before, and not the kind that come out on Halloween. She’s been locked up in Williamson County, Tennessee…where the law is KNOWN for busting you first and asking questions later. They particularly like popping people for DUI’s. Smart, Mindy!

Mindy also wants to go costume shopping, ‘cuz she is gonna PAR-TAY tomorrow night. She better get herself a cab or a designated driver, as the Williamson County police are quite familiar with Miss McCready! They have her picture with a superimposed target on it in every squad car.
