The first official presidential election results are in from the famed small town of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire. The tiny village has been the site of the first official election results for over 50 years. If the rest of the night’s voting results go the same way they did in Dixville Notch, it looks like we may not know who the next President of the United States is for quite some time.
For the past fifty years or so, the extremely small village of Dixville Notch, New Hampshire has been delivering up the first official election results for the presidential election. In the 2008 presidential election, Dixville Notch voters chose Barack Obama as the winner. The voting results were unusual because it was the first time the town had given the majority to a Democrat in 40 years.
