An Orlando judge has ordered that photos from indicted-for-murder Casey Anthony’s Photobucket account can be released to the public, but has delayed release of a video showing Casey’s reaction to the news that her daughter Caylee’s remains had been found.

The pics, showing Casey skanking it up in bars, throwing gang signs, throwing UP, and playing “see food” are many- there are literally hundreds. We’re putting a few up here, and you can find more here at the Orlando Sentinel. Casey’s attorney argued that the pics might make Casey look bad. No worries, Mr. Attorney. The Anthonys’ attorney, Brad Conway, said George was okay. He was taken into custody under Florida’s Baker Act, which allows the state to hold people involuntarily pending a psychiatric evaluation. (This is similar to California’s “5150″ hold that allowed doctors to commit Britney Spears.) George’s 5-page suicide letter said he wanted to end his life, and go to be with Caylee.

The lead investigator in the case and several Orange County sheriff’s deputies responded to the house of George and Cindy Anthony late Thursday night. His family had grown increasingly concerned when George missed a scheduled meeting Thursday afternoon.

Sheriff’s officials and Conway said George left his home early Thursday morning and hadn’t been seen since. He reportedly took family pictures and prescription medications with him. Daytona Beach Police Chief Mike Chitwood said George sent what were described as “disturbing” text messages to family members. Chief Chitwood’s interview is here.

“He had text-messaged family members that he wanted to end his life,” Chitwood said. “George is okay, thank God,” Conway said. “Had it not been for a cooperative effort between Orange County and Volusia County, I don’t know what the outcome would have been. George is now safe.”

George was found in Daytona Beach at the Hawaii Motel. Deputies used GPS and signals from George’s cell phone to track his car (watch raw video here). The suicide note was found inside his car.

“When they arrived on the scene, George was talking to them and was fine,” said Conway. “We’re having him checked out to be sure.” George was taken to Halifax Medical Center for observation. He could be held involuntarily for up to 72 hours.

George, wife Cindy, and their son Lee Anthony are facing possible criminal indictment charges, for obstruction of justice in the Casey Anthony case. George and Cindy’s granddaughter, Caylee Anthony was murdered, and her remains were found in December just yards away from the Anthony home in Orlando. Their daughter Casey is charged with her murder and is awaiting trial in the Orange County Jail.

Caylee Anthony still has not been buried, and her remains are currently in a cardboard box at an Orlando funeral home. Horrible. It seems all of the incredible stress and grief got to George and he snapped.

Sources also say investigators have established a time frame of death that dates back to June, according to reports returned by forensic botanists and entomologists. They were brought in to analyze the terrain and insect growth where Caylee’s remains were found. Biological growth was found growing up through the skeleton, and bug evidence was also analyzed. These insect and botanical studies can pinpoint how long the body was there at the crime scene with amazing accuracy. The Oak Ridge National Laboratory (The Body Farm) said that there was 2.6 days of human decomposition evident in Casey’s trunk.

A hair which showed signs of decomposition was also found in the trunk. Sources said the hair matches hair taken from Caylee’s remains. Investigators believe the time frame coupled with other evidence- the duct tape found over the mouth of Caylee’s skull, high levels of chloroform detected in the trunk and cell phone pings from Anthony’s phone that place her near the crime scene in mid-June…points only to Casey as the killer. Officials now firmly believe that Casey acted intentionally, and alone.

Casey and her mother Cindy had a huge fight the night of June 15th, when Cindy confronted Casey about money she had stolen from the family. Cindy reportedly was so angry she put her hands around Casey’s throat. Casey took Caylee and left the house, and that was the last time anyone saw Caylee alive. Casey always had an animosity with her mother. Additionally, Casey’s boyfriend at the time told police that he’d told Casey he didn’t want to have female children; that he wanted sons.

Motive doesn’t have to be proven to convict someone of murder. Premeditated or not, Casey committed aggravated child-abuse towards Casey. Sources said although a cause of Caylee’s death may never be known, Casey will be convicted based on extremely strong evidence. This means there must have been significant evidence of Casey being at the crime scene where Caylee was found…fingerprints, DNA, possibly other definitive, forensic evidence.

Investigators cleared the crime scene where Caylee’s remains were found, just around the corner from the Anthony home. Right after the crime scene was cleared, detectives served another search warrant. Sheriff’s spokesman Captain Nieves said that the search was a result of additional clues that had been found at the crime scene. A “very well coordinated strike”, is how Fox News’ Phil Keating characterized the happenings.

CSI vans and detectives descended upon the house. Immediately, onlookers followed, walking from the crime scene to the house, and watching the search unfold from the street. em>Something new found at the scene gave them probable cause to conduct the 2 hour search, and it probably wasn’t bone-related. Search warrants must be very specific. Whatever authorities found, it was likely something small…they’ve combed the crime scene for over a week on their hands and knees. Snarkista hopes it keeps Casey from sleeping at night in her cell.

Little Caylee Anthony’s remains have been positively, officially identified. Dr. Jan Garavaglia of the Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner’s Office ( “Dr. G”) made the announcement, saying:

“With regret I am here to inform you that the remains found on December 11th are those of missing Caylee Anthony. The ID was made by nuclear DNA, performed by the FBI lab in Quantico, Va. The remains have been retained at the morgue in Orlando. The remains are completely skeletonized, no soft tissue, no trauma to the bones. Toxicology will continue on bones and hair, but will not be definitive on cause of death. The manner of death in this case is HOMICIDE, and will be listed as homicide by undetermined means.”

Sheriff Kevin Beary, Director Joyce Dawley of the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Dr. Jan Garavaglia of the Orange-Osceola Medical Examiner’s Office, Special agent Steven Ibison of the Federal Bureau of Investigations and Orange County Chief Ron Stucker were all present. The press conference stage was set with a huge picture of Caylee.

Dr. G would not discuss the particulars of the case, but commended all of the investigators and crime scene workers for a superb job. She said that some of the bones were tiny, that a child’s skeleton has many more bones than an adult skeleton. Her report will not be released until the toxicology is finished.

Sheriff Beary said that he could not discuss the evidence that was found at the scene, because of an agreement with the prosecutors. He acknowledged it has been a long, expensive case, but that you can’t put a price tag on finding a little child. He said the meter reader who found the remains has been cooperative, and was doing what a good citizen would have done.

Kelly Kwas of the Orange County Government said the water meter-reader who discovered the remains will make a statement at the county administration building at 201 Rosalind Avenue in Orlando at 3:30 p.m. The meter reader, Roy Kronk, had called in tips to the authorities 3 times in August before finding the remains. He is not considered a suspect, but authorities are investigating the responses by officials to his previous calls.

Casey Anthony, Caylee’s 22 year old mother has already been charged with Caylee’s murder, and has been rotting sitting in the Orange County Jail. Her attorney, Jose Baez headed over to the jail about an hour ago to be with her during the press conference. Reportedly, Casey was informed of the findings before the announcement.

The location where the remains were found is the exact same place where Casey buried her pets when they would die. How telling that sociopath Casey doesn’t see any difference between her daughter and a PET. Evidence at the scene has been linked to items in the Anthony home. It has been confirmed that clothes (a small bathing suit and dress) were found with the remains inside the garbage bag, and that Caylee’s sheets were taken from the Anthony home when it was searched the evening of the 11th and morning of the 12th.

Investigators are still sifting through the crime scene, and the scene is continuing to be meticulously combed. It is only about a quarter mile from the Anthony house. and they are still finding “additional items.” We already know that many more small bones have been found, and that a picture from the crime scene seemed to show a book that looked very similar to one Caylee was shown reading in a home video. Orange County Sheriff spokesman Angelo Nieves said, “we continue to sift through the location,” he said, adding it has grown to more than half an acre. Various experts for the state are being flown in to examine the scene. An anthropologist and an entomologist have been involved in the investigation as well.

It was revealed by WFTV that Casey’s friend Amy Huizenga sent a Facebook message to her in late May, saying “You lost my duct tape- I was excited to have so much left. That’s what I get for giving you my purse.”

Once investigators have completed their investigation of the site, the defense team representing 22-year-old Casey Anthony must be granted access by the owner of the vacant lot before they can complete their own investigation.

Grandparents George and Cindy Anthony have requested full immunity, have admitted to making “conflicting statements”, and are prepared to make a NEW statement via their attorney. Somehow I don’t see this idea going very far. George and Cindy could easily be charged with several counts of obstruction of justice. They MAY know the entire story, though, so it will be interesting to see if they are granted immunity from prosecution. And where the hell is Casey’s brother Lee? Dude has been totally AWOL, and has refused to be fingerprinted and to take a polygraph.

This family puts the FUNK in Dysfunctional. It is so toxic that a little girl lost her life. The JAIL called for a pastor to visit Casey the other day, not Casey herself. He said that she needs prayer. Indeed. The pastor tried to visit Casey today. Casey chose not to take the call, and instead spent the time with her attorney.

On a day filled with developments in the case of missing toddler Caylee Marie Anthony, including news that the man who discovered human remains last week called in the same tip three times in August, a single photograph brought forth as many questions as it answered.

Did investigators searching a wooded area for skeletal remains possibly also find a book that Caylee liked to read?

One of the 171 photos released Thursday by investigators shows a slight opening in the brush, and what appears to be a hard-cover book. To some observers, that object appears similar to a book that Caylee is seen reading on a video made by her grandparents, the last visual evidence of the toddler before she was reported missing in July.

Sheriff’s Capt. Angelo Nieves said he had not seen the crime-scene photos and could not comment on their content. He said he would not ask investigators about the photo.

Forensic results from tests done on the remains are expected to be released at any time.

Photos from the site where remains found thought to be Caylee Anthony’s

Just breaking now, a bombshell twist in the case of missing tot Caylee Anthony. Captain Angelo Nieves of the Orange County Police department revealed that the utility worker who discovered remains in a bag a week ago, called in tips 3 TIMES in August. All of the tips were for the location where he eventually found the skeletal remains. Incredibly, Captain Nieves says that there is nothing suspicious about the worker, and that he is not a person of interest in this case.

Captain Nieves said that they have not even fingerprinted the worker. “He is not a suspect in this case,” Nieves said early Thursday evening. “He is a credible witness and we consider him so at the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.” Last week, the story was, that the worker had gone into the wooded, vacant lot near the Anthony home to relieve himself. Today, the story is that he was “curious”. This case gets stranger and stranger. This man may have no culpability at all in this case, and no accusation of such has been made. But twice, when he called authorities, they responded and the “site was cleared”.

Was this bad work by whomever “cleared” the site? Did this man help Casey Anthony? Is this some other poor little girl’s remains? Was the worker just seeing if anyone had followed up on his tip when he found the remains? This is a densely vegetated site. Still, very, very unusual stuff going on. The defense may have a field day with this, especially since investigators have not allowed them to have any access to the site.

Update 7:18 ET12/12/08: Investigators took 7 huge bags full of stuff from the Anthony home, 2 vacuum cleaners, and several other items. The vacuum cleaners suggest the investigators are looking for fiber evidence to match what was found yesterday. The Anthonys are free to come back to their home now, although it isn’t certain that they will. It is still a media circus outside their home. Forensic scientists will be looking for any signs of intentional harm to Caylee, and the reports that the skull found had duct tape across it’s mouth is NOT a good sign.

Update 10:31 ET: Crime scene tape is being placed around the Anthony home right now. The authorities just rolled up, hopped out, and began taping everything off around the house. Remember, cadaver dogs hit on Casey’s car, and in the back yard of the car. Police are guarding the entire property. Casey apparently had to take a sedative when she heard the news today. Shocker.

Update 7:20 pm ET: The black plastic bag found with the likely remains of Caylee Anthony is opaque, not able to be seen through. Tim Miller of Equusearch called off his first search for Caylee after he lost a 4-wheeler in this exact area to the mud and water. He feared that searchers would damage or destroy any possible evidence that might have been in the water. What a great call by Tim Miller.

Update 5:50 pm ET: Judge Andrew Napolitano says that the application for the search warrant tells him that the bag of bones was probably NOT where it was found today, when prior searches of the area took place. He says this could mean there were accomplices to the crime, and that this could be why the search warrant has been issued for the Anthony’s house. He admits this is a theory based upon his reading of the warrant application. I tend to disagree with the Judge, this is an area with a gazillion water-areas, the bag is rumored to have clothes in it, and could have been submerged for months. Why would someone else take Caylee, kill Caylee, and then dump her body just several doors down from her house? Also, remember, there is soil from the shovel that is involved in this case. The soil can be compared to the soil at the scene where the evidence was found.

Also, Jose Baez has just reached his office, and reporters are waiting to question him. It appears that the neighborhood is not being blocked off completely, as people from all over have descended upon the area around the Anthony home.

Update 4:45 pm ET: George and Cindy Anthony have just been escorted off of their plane by police. They will be leaving Orlando International Airport in a police escort, will not be going to their house, and will be going to an undisclosed location, possibly the Sheriff’s office. According to the Anthony’s spokesperson, Michelle Bart, they will not be returning to their home for at least the next 48 hours.

Update 4:15pm ET: Casey Anthony’s attorney Jose Baez has just filed an emergency motion with the court to preserve any forensic evidence in this case. This is a strong indication that Baez believes the remains found today are those of Caylee Anthony. These motions are normally granted, and prevent any type of forensic testing that would destroy the evidence, however since this is going to the FBI lab, it is unlikely that they are going to allow outside forensic people in there, or to handle evidence. There will be a hearing tomorrow at 10 am ET on this motion.

Snarkfood has been reporting all day on the remains found very near the home of the Anthony family, that are almost certainly those of little Caylee Anthony. Casey Anthony, Caylee’s mother, has been charged in her murder, and is currently in jail awaiting trial. You can read our earlier, detailed report at the story linked here.

It is rainy now in the area, and currently the authorities are removing the remains and other evidence from the scene so close to the home Caylee grew up in. The remains are reportedly being sent to the FBI lab in Quantico, Virginia. The Anthony house is in complete lockdown, with no one being allowed inside except authorities. A search warrant has been executed for a complete search of the home.

Search warrants must be VERY specific. This means that something they’ve found today has triggered the need to search the house. They’ll be looking for tape, garbage bags, clothes… all types of evidence they may be able to match to the remains and other evidence found this morning. They may look for shoes that could match footprints found at the scene.

Fox News Orlando says that there will probably be a bulldozer brought in to the scene as well, because this part of the area has at times been underwater, and some evidence may now be IN the ground. Orlando Sheriff Kevin Beary says they will be searching the ENTIRE area, that they will take their time, and that there will be:

“No mistakes. The remains have been taken to the medical examiner’s office, they are securing the Anthony home and the crime scene, and will be out there all night long. The fact that the remains are of a small female child makes us think we may have Caylee, but there is a lot of work left to do.” He says that if anyone tries to come into the scene and mess around, they will be going straight to jail.

The only people being allowed in and out of the neighborhood are residents. Sheriff Beary also hinted at a possible suit aimed at recovering some of the massive costs authorities have incurred during the investigation of this case.

Caylee’s grandparents George and Cindy Anthony have been out of town in California; they taped a show with Larry King. They are returning at this time, and are due to land about 4:20 ET. There is a media frenzy at the Orlando airport, and at the crime scene in the neighborhood. It is probable the Anthonys will NOT be allowed into their home when they return from California, until the authorities have fully combed it for evidence.

The garbage bag that the remains were found in can be traced, and the duct tape that has been found on the child’s mouth and bag is an excellent preserver of forensic evidence. Now that a body has been found, the case against Casey Anthony has likely gotten much stronger. Prosecutors had taken the death penalty off of the table, but if the death is determined to be violent, if Caylee suffered at all, it could be considered again. Casey is charged with first-degree murder- Murder 1- in the case. A Capital Murder charge would likely be added if Caylee suffered.

Casey Anthony’s defense attorney Jose Baez, walked out of Orange County Jail shortly after 1:33 p.m. and he was surrounded by media cameras and reporters. He would not speak about the remains, but said he would comment later today. Casey is reportedly having panic attacks right now. She is being videotaped at all times. Nancy Grace’s ratings are going to be through the ROOF tonight!

Sheriff’s spokesman Jim Solomons said the remains were found around 9:30 ET. in the area of S. Chickasaw Trail and Suburban Drive by a utility worker. The location is less than 1/4 mile from the Anthonys’ home on Hopespring Drive. A meter-reader, who was about 20 yards into the woods when he found the remains. The utility worker picked up a bag and a skull rolled out of it. Residents said duct tape was found around the skull; local Fox news is reporting that the duct tape was around the mouth as well as the bag. “Because of the proximity to the Anthony home, this is a very significant find,” Solomons said. Three-year-old Caylee Marie Anthony has been missing since mid-June, but mom Casey didn’t report her being gone for almost a month. Casey Anthony is in jail, charged with Caylee’s murder.

Orange County Sheriff’s Office patrol cars are blocking Suburban Drive at Hopespring Drive. A section of woods near the intersection is blocked off with yellow crime tape. It is maybe a 4 minute walk from the Anthony home. Captain Angelo Nieves of the sheriff’s office said forensic detectives are inspecting the remains. He will only say the FBI is on the scene, that they are recovering the remains, and working with the medical examiner’s office to ID the body. Every indication, however, is that Caylee Anthony has been found. The area had reportedly been searched before, but is steep and often is swampy and has not been able to be searched recently. Remember, Casey Anthony had said that she “felt like Caylee was nearby.”

Geraldo Rivera is reporting that his sources say the remains ARE Caylee’s, and that the authorities have determined the remains are of a little girl, the correct size as 3 year-old Caylee. He says it appears that the plastic bag that the remains were found in…which could be matched to bags seized from the Anthony home, was sealed with duct tape. Geraldo’s sources inside the case said that “This is not a false alarm, there is every indication that this is the body of Caylee Anthony. The anthropologicals are in, and they match. There is every indication that this is Caylee Anthony.” He thinks that prosecutors could put the death penalty back as an option for Casey Anthony, depending upon the results of the forensics and cause of death.

Duct tape can be a great way to preserve forensic evidence. The adhesive side is an excellent preserver of fingerprints. This will be a treasure-trove of forensic evidence. Also, if Caylee had ever been to the dentist, an immediate ID can be made, and also the height of the child will be very telling. DNA tests will take a few days. Any clothing that could be in the bag will also help with identifying the remains. There still will be the question of how the child died. Forensic examiners can sample the air in the bag for chloroform, which has been suggested as the means of murder in Caylee’s mom Casey Anthony’s case.

The manner of death will be crucial in this case. If the duct tape is on her mouth, it would indicate a planned murder. If Caylee suffered, then you have Capital Murder, where the death penalty is not only an option, but arguably a must. If the death was caused by illegally imposed by chloroform, it could be Second Degree Murder.

Tim Miller of Texas Equusearch- who has conducted extensive searches for Caylee, got a call saying “Tim, it looks like we got her.” Tim says he’s hearing from his sources in the Orange County Sheriff’s department that they are remains found in a garbage bag, that they feel that it is Caylee, it will take a bit for positive ID. That is an area Tim’s group searched, but there was a lot of water at the time, conditions weren’t favorable at the time. It wasn’t an area they could search earlier in the year. It is near the “cell tower ping” area identified by traces on tot mom Casey’s cellphone. Tim Miller says he hopes that the remains are Caylee’s, and he hopes this part of the tragedy is over.

Sheriff’s Deputies are at the Anthony home right now, and no one is being allowed inside. It is now being considered a crime scene. George and Cindy Anthony are coming back from taping a show in California, and son Lee Anthony was watching the home. Again, no one is being allowed inside the home, except for the authorities.

Casey Anthony’s attorney, Jose Baez, is reportedly at the jail right now with Casey, and has said he will not make a statement on this matter until the remains are positively identified. He was granted a motion today to delay the trial until March. He apparently sped back to the jail when the news broke, presumably to keep her silent. Lots of drama today in the ongoing case of Casey Anthony, charged with murdering her 3 year old daughter Caylee. The media in Florida are continuously fighting to see WHO can get the most controversial story in the already controversial case, and the whacko Anthony family circus don’t usually disappoint. The Orlando Sentinel reports that WFTV-Channel 9′s Kathi Belich caused an Anthony family supporter to flee. WKMG-Channel 6 presented Cindy Anthony and attorney John Morgan disparaging each other.

The Anthony family has a new “spokesperson”, Michelle Bart, who has been representing the Kid Finders Network in the case of the missing girl. She was asked by the group to work on behalf of the Anthony family as well. Michelle is replacing Larry Garrison, who’s been accused Anthony family attorney Mark Nijame of hiding a $6,500 payment from NBC for providing photos of Caylee. Bart runs Helping Heroes Inc., a Vancouver, Wash.-based public-relations company that works with nonprofit organizations.

Some major drama occured when WFTV’s Kathi Belich confronted Dennis Milstead of Kid Finders Network, which the Anthony family has asked to help look for missing toddler Caylee. But Belich wanted to know about Milstead’s criminal past. When she started pressing, he turned wild-eyed, grabbed her microphone and pushed the WFTV camera. Belich noted that his group has never found any children. After Belich talked to Milstead, she reported that he packed up and left.

WFTV anchor Martie Salt recapped the sorry record of people involved in this case. “It seems everyone who gets their hands on this case ends up either fired or disgraced somehow,” she noted.

Salt’s list? Spokesman Larry Garrison, who was fired last week. Bounty hunter Leonard Padilla, who has been asked to take a lie-detector test. Anthony publicist Todd Black the mystery man who mistakenly acknowledged that Caylee is dead. And Jose Baez, who has drawn sharp criticism for his work as Casey’s attorney.

On WFTV, high-profile lawyer John Morgan lambasted the Anthony team’s decision to counter-sue a Morgan client. Morgan is representing Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, who says her life was ruined after Casey Anthony wrongly named her as baby sitter to Caylee. WFTV’s Mary Nguyen reported that legal experts described the Anthony counter-suit as more like a motion to dismiss. “I don’t think I’ve ever read anything like it in my 25 years of practice,” Morgan told WFTV.

There was more Morgan drama on WKMG. Grandmother Cindy Anthony described Morgan as “frivolous” and “he needs to get back to chasing the ambulances.” Morgan fired back about the Anthonys’ behavior: “I would be chasing after Caylee. I would be in the woods. I would be going door to door.” He added that Cindy Anthony enjoys the media attention, but he sympathizes with the family. “I just think they’re desperate, they’re sick about what happened, they have an idea of what the truth is,” Morgan said.

WKMG promised a look at a little-known player in the Casey Anthony suit at 11 ET tonight. WESH-Channel 2 reported that bounty hunter Leonard Padilla is seeking more funding for searches from a film production company. Padilla told WESH that his dive search in Blanchard Park was not publicity stunt and that he did not plant anything there. WKMG reported that Padilla is waiting to hear from the FBI about taking that lie-detector test. And you can be sure that Nancy Grace will cover it ALL tonight on her show. Meanwhile, Casey Anthony lounges in jail, ordering candy and lingerie, remorseless.
