Nicki Minaj Wants To Leave American Idol After Contestant Eliminated, Video

Nicki Minaj wants to leave American Idol after contestant eliminated, video below. Curtis Finch Jr. surprisingly earned the lowest amount of votes, despite earning a standing ovation from the judges just last week. Nicki Minaj was shocked, and actually got up from the judges’ table, and started walking away mouthing “I’m done.”

She went back to her seat as Finch performed “I Believe I Can Fly” — the song he received the ovation for — in hopes of being saved. An d Minaj noted before his performance, “If you go home, I’m going home.” In the end, with the judges not in agreement about saving Finch, he was eliminated. Nicki Minaj Leaves“American Idol” Set After Blow Out Audition Fight With Judges, video

Nicki Minaj leaves American Idol set after blow out audition fight with judges, video below. It was reported back in October that there was major drama on the Idol set, yet nobody knew what caused it until tonight when she show aired.  Tonight we got a feast of the big mouth who is Minaj.

The conflict began as Mariah Carey, Randy Jackson and Keith Urban questioned contestant Summer Cunningham’s interest in country music. Minaj accused the trio of “picking her apart,” while the other judges insisted they just wanted to know more in order to help. “You’re right. I can’t help her,” replied Minaj sarcastically before storming off the set, saying, ”Maybe I should just get off the f**king panel… I’m over it.”

Adele, Nicki Minaj, Kanye Top 2012 Grammy Nominations

She may have gone on hiatus due to some health troubles and throat surgery but Adele didn’t take a hit in her popularity this year. The British singer was nominated for six Grammy Awards last night including for album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year. But it’s Kanye West leading the pack with the highest number of nominations: seven, and many for his collaboration with Jay-Z.

Close behind were the Foo Fighters and Bruno Mars, each with six nominations. Bon Iver, Nicki Minaj, Mumford & Sons and Rihanna each earned four nominations.

Here’s a list of some of the top noms – some new-comers and a few stand-by favorites

For record of the year, nominees were Adele (“Rolling in the Deep”), Bruno Mars (“Grenade”), Bon Iver (“Holocene”), Mumford and Sons (“The Cave”) and Katy Perry (“Firework”).

Album nods go to Adele (21), the Foo Fighters (Wasting Light), Lady Gaga (Born this Way), Bruno Mars (Doo-Wops & Hooligans), and Rihanna (Loud).

Vying for Song of the Year: Kanye West and Rihanna (“All of the Lights”), Mumford and Sons (“The Cave”), Bruno Mars (“Grenade”), Bon Iver (“Holocene”) and Adele (“Rolling in the Deep”).

Yes, for some reason Rihanna keeps sneaking her way in there; hopefully this is the year that someone with real talent trumps her pop appeal.

J.Lo is Accessory at American Music Awards

Do people even expect much of J.Lo any more? Probably not, but you would likely expect someone known for their voice to be more than an accessory for a car on a nationally televised awards so. But maybe that’s too much to hope for. When J.Lo sang “On the Floor,” not only did it inspire remarks such as “embarrassing” and “cringe-inducing” but she was basically playing second fiddle to a car. Her song is showcased in a car commercial – which might have been the reason or inspiration for the performance – and when the  actual commercial ran not too long after the performance, there was hardly any difference between the two.

For something slightly less nauseating, we had to turn to Nicki Minaj (oh the irony) who won two awards and began to cry a bit in her acceptance speech. She may be outrageous, but at least she isn’t being upstaged by a car.

Britney Spears replaces Enrique with Nicki Minaj

So, Enrique Iglesias thinks he’s too good to open for Britney Spears?  That’s fine, Nicki Minaj is waiting in the wings and she’s ready to do the tour.  Minaj is having a lot more success on the charts right now than Enrique, and all in all she’s a much better fit for the tour anyway.

The contract has already been signed and Britney’s camp couldn’t be happier, as Minaj will be bringing her fans with her and ticket sales are likely to skyrocket.  The two styles of music will fit together a lot better than Britney’s would have with Enrique’s, and now the entire tour has a girl power feeling about it, which is something Britney could really use right now.

Simon Cowell talks about X-Factor

Simon Cowell recently discussed the names of who is and isn’t being considered as judges for his new X-Factor show, and he seems surprised about the rumors that are going around.  Most recently, the buzz has been all about Taylor Momsen, but not only does Simon say that she’s not being considered, he doesn’t even know who she is.  So that’s a no.

Apparently the potential candidates are Mariah Carey, Nicki Minaj, and Jessica Simpson.  I’m not sure if any of those people sound particularly exciting, but then again I didn’t think Jennifer Lopez would be anything special on American Idol, and she’s turned out to be a pretty good judge, if not a little boring.  Maybe Jessica could bring a little of the ditziness we loved when she was on TV a few years ago.  That was pretty entertaining.

Nicki Minaj is a walking disaster area

Trouble follows attention whore Nicki Minaj wherever she goes, but honestly she invites most of it.  The singer is currently in the UK on a European tour, and British authorities have had nothing but problems with Minaj, her entourage, and mostly her rowdy and disrespectful fans.  Many have accused Minaj of egging her fans on via Twitter, as she’s been doing things like tweeting her flight arrival times and causing chaos at Heathrow.

Minaj has been kicked out of her room at the Dorchester after her fans vandalized one of the hotel’s elevators, and the sheer number of people became too much for security to handle.  Even one of the tour’s shows had to be canceled, after a fight broke out among overzealous fans and the venue was deemed unsafe for a performance.
