It seems that Barack Obama’s “family values” don’t extend to his Kenyan family members. Obama’s aunt Zeituni Onyango, so affectionately described in his best-selling memoir “Dreams from My Father”, lives in a really crappy public housing project in South Boston. And “Uncle Omarâ€, who Barack said was “long-lost”, in the book, ain’t lost. He was beaten by armed robbers with a sawed off shotgun while working in a store in the dangerous Dorchester area of Boston. He was later evicted from his one-bedroom flat for failing to pay the $2,324.20 he was behind on.
Aunt Zeituni and Uncle Omar are the children of Mr Obama’s grandfather Hussein Onyango Obama, by his third wife – the woman Mr Obama calls “Granny†because she raised his father. Mr Obama’s father, Barack Sr, was Onyango Obama’s son by his second wife, Akumu. That makes Zeituni and Omar a half-sister and half-brother of Mr Obama’s father, or Mr Obama’s half-aunt and half-uncle. Need a map yet?
Obama’s brother George, who lives in a Kenyan shack, is not lost either. That’s about the best thing that can be said for George’s situation. He did identify Aunt Zeituni and Uncle Omar from pictures, though.
Auntie Onyango, 56, confirmed she was the “Auntie Zeituni†in Mr Obama’s memoir. She won’t answer other questions about her relationship with Obama until after the November 4 election. “I can’t talk about it, I just pray for him, that’s all,†she said, adding: “After the 4th, I can talk to anyone.â€
Who is restricting Auntie’s free speech? What is it that someone doesn’t want her to talk about? Why didn’t Barack give her a smidge of the millions he spent on last night’s Obamamercial? IS THE FREAKING LA TIMES RESPONSIBLE?! Just some Snark Food for thought.
